First of all let me say that I am beside myself!! I have been taking a break since late May after 2 failed Clomid cycles, and had not seen AF since June 2. So I took a pg test July 20, and Aug 6 and they were both negative. So, Sunday Aug 17 I took one and then a second one and they were both , holy crappers I still cannot believe it!!! so i went to the doc today and the nurse tells me that my beta level was like 14k. What in the world???? I thought the nurse would know how far along I could be but she wasn't sure, I have no way of guessing myself considering its been almost three months since my last AF, and with PCOs for me that is normal. They want to see me for an ultrasound on Friday. My husband is an ER nurse and he began freaking me out by saying that those numbers are kinda high for being this early..the nurse even asked me if I was taking clomid on my own. Though I contemplated it back in May, I never actually did it. I am sooo sooo excited, but yet super nervous, I hope the little bean is okay. Has this ever happened to anyone? I hope you can share your thoughts...

Your probably just farther along than they think. I've heard it's common for some woman to not have HPT show postive until much later...sometimes I've heard never...even when they are pregnant.

Not sure how that is possible???

BUt I just wanted to wish you congradulations!!! An ultrasound will help determine how far along you are and how many you may be carrying.

With PCOS...maybe you naturally ovulated with more than one egg...since ovulation is all screwy anyways...or maybe it split and you have identicals . But my guess is that you have one little bean in their already growing big and strong!!!

Congradulations!!!! What a great suprise. My first pg test did not show positive till 6 weeks and beta was where it should have been so who knows sometimes i guess it just dont show or maybe you drank alot of fluid that day????? anywho your PREGO!!!! So you might already be out of the first trimester! wow that would be great hu!

First of all congrats!!! And I have a coworker who has had five children and with all five she always got a negative pregnancy test and had to get bloodwork done, so it could be that you are much farther along than the nurse thinks, or you could have a few beans in there, good luck on friday!!!

Thank you ladies so much!!! I still cannot believe it is really happening. A few days ago there was a posting asking what we would buy first if we got the good news...and I feel so bad because I cannot think of what to get. I guess I have been wanting this little angel so much that now that I have been blessed I am just in my own personal limbo. It will become more real on Friday, I think. I am so nervous and excited at the same time I hope all is well.

Ladies, my prayers continue full force daily for all us in this forum. I couln't ask for better friends to share my feelings with. Thank you so much for your advise!
