What comes next???

Ok, well I have taken clomid for the last four months (1 @ 50 mg and 3 @ 100 mg) and ovulated the last three rounds. I haven't taken anything this month (was going to be out of town during ovulation) and have an appointment with my doc. next week. He said we will probably change our approach but I am too curious to know what is next and how successful it could be... I know the military won't cover IUI so that is out for now, anyone know what the next step might be, have any success stories, or even just been in the same boat? I read a few different things online but I don't know what comes next if I was releasing eggs each time (two months I released two eggs)... help?

Have you had an HSG yet? I was ovulating, but my left tube is blocked and my right one is partially so. We went right to IVF because that was the only way the eggs and sperm were ever going to get together.

Is your doc an OB-GYN or an RE? If he's an OB, you might consider finding an RE.

If you should end up considering IVF, one bit of advice is to try to find a clinical trial that would cover some or all of the expenses. I didn't, but then was looking around online last night and wished I'd done that several thousand dollars ago. There's also a really reasonably-priced IVF clinic in NY. Even with travel it would be cheaper than what we're doing.

Sorry for rambling, just hoping you could maybe learn from someone else's experience if that's the boat you find yourself in. Good luck at your f/u appt! I hope your doc has some answers for you.

I agree - I'd suggest an HSG and a sperm analysis for your dh. That'll give you more data. Most OBs/REs will suggest at your age to try for 6-12 months before doing anything more 'radical'...
