I'm new here also. I never thought we'd be "here" either, but as I talk to people in my workplace and all around, turns out that infertility is a silent crisis.

You are not alone...

Welcome, guys - this is a great place for support. It truly is like the "silent crisis" that we all suffer from. I started ttc in July 2006, did some IUI's earlier this year, took a break, and am gearing up to do my second injectible cycle. So, I spend most of my time on the IUI board, but there is a lot of support wherever you go here. Good luck to you all in your journey!!!

New to this site

Hi ladies I was hoping I could join you. I'm new to this site however unfortunately not new to infertility and treatment and looking for a litle support.

Me: 30 (Stage IV endo, 2 endo surgeries, Premature ovarian failure, poor responder CCT=42 high fsh)
DH: 31 (no problems)

TTC#1 for 6 yrs

July 06 IUI# 1 with injectables 1 follie
Nov 06 IUI# 2 with injectables 1 follie
March 07 IVF # 1 micro dose lupron 300 gonal f 3dt 2 perfect embies but
June 07 surgery # 2 for stage IV endo
Sept 07 IVF#2 micro dose lupron converted to IUI only 1 follie
Oct 07 IVF# 3 CANCELLED no response at all
Nov 07 IUI# 3 with injectables no response cancelled
June 08 IVF # 4 switched RE's did the big gun drugs of estrogen priming & 750 units of Gonal F after 16 days of stims CANCELLED no response

**All the empty time lapses were because of my endo it took forever to cycle again as my body likes to create ovarian cysts and often had to have some drained first **

AUG 08 best friend is going through DE screening process to be our egg donor DE cycle will happen approx NOV/DEC 08

In the mean time I have been and didn't want to take any meds and decided to see what my cycles do on their own...supposively as you approach menopause which I am at 30 yrs old! Your body can spit out eggs. Normally I dont ovulate at all on my own but decided I was having withdrawals from not poasing and to my surprise got a positive OPK!!

8/20 positive OPK internet cheapy 7pm did BD
8/21 positive smiley face OPK at 1pm did BD
8/22 CD 18 pain on the right side will BD

I guess thats me in a nutshell....looks like I am heading into my first ever natural 2ww and looking for support as I head down my DE journey as well.

Thanks!

You ladies are in the right place. I am somewhat new too, as of March '08. This has been my most comforting forum to vent, cry, laugh, and share my most private thoughts. The supports is remarkable! I hope I can be of assstance in the future.
Hugs and sending

Heart

I am in the same boat. All my friends are getting pregnant EXCEPT ME! Its annoying to say the least. I keep waiting for my "time" which never seems to show up. Going to take the next step of IUI and injectibles once I have insurance that will cover it in November. As for now I am trying the OPK 20 stick pack to see when I ovulate as a last ditch effort. I have tried them before but I find it hard to beleive that I missed my ovulation day for 3 years in a row. Grrr. Anyone else used the OPK and had success after years of BFN?

In 6 years I have used the ovulation tests too many times to count and have never seen a positive...with my Premature ovarian failure, lack of AF, and previous surgeries I never caught the surge...Not sure what was up with that but assumed my body was not ovulating at all

Which is probably the case as often I would have to take provera to bring on AF....But after my last cancelled IVF I decided to do them again while awaiting my egg donor to get approved. last month on CD20 I saw a positive on an OPK and AF came 14 days later...I'm taking that as I did ovulate.

I was going to skip this month but noticed increased CM so I decided to use the internet cheapies I had at home and on CD16 the lines looked the same to everyone around me however I thought the test line was a wee bit lighter. So on lunch on CD17 I ran out and bought the digital smiley face ones and sure enough I had a smiley face It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

I called my RE's nurse as they have known me forever and told them about last month and this month and they ordered a progesterone blood test for Weds 8/27 as they are curious too.

I have never caught my ovulation before so I dont even know if I did this thing right I bd on CD16 CD17 and CD18 and I'm confident by the pains I had on the right side that I ovulated CD 17-18.

makenalelu: So sorry to hear that you are going through a m/c lots of hugs and prayers with you.
