Dh has his SA tomorrow!
Well tomorrow we go for dh's SA and i am nervous and excited.
 I have no idea what to expect and he has even less of an idea of what to expect. We only have lap testing left for me which is on the 29 of September ...and I am pretty sure there is going to be Endo. Anywho I am super worried about dh being able to 'perform" his duty on comand. He had a HUGE problem last month when i let him in on tracking my cycle and this month there has been two episodes. So what goes on during the first visit to a urologist? How long does it take to get results back and How did you fight the stress of it all? oh and P.S. Please  for us

Hi, Lorry - they let my husband do his sample at home and just drop it off at the lab. I think that makes it a lot easier on them.

I would but we live an hour away and i have not ever talked to the people at the lab or been there so i dont know if it would last that long or what to store it in? O and this might be TMI but how much do you have to give cuz dh only gives off like a teaspoon of fluid so i dont know if that is normall or not

I would ask them about doing it at home. Some labs say the specimen has to be there within an hour and some say 30 minutes. As far as volume, that sounds good. The normal ejaculate is 2 - 6 mL. There is 1 mL in 1/5 of a teaspoon. So, if he gets a whole teaspoon, then he has 5 mL, which is great!
They will give him a sterile cup to ejaculate in. Then you need to keep it warm until you deliver it to the lab - either hold it in your hands, between your legs in the car, or in your bra.

O good. I have quite a large chest that i curse every day lol so maybe i just found a use for it. I always pictured like a urine sample i guess when i thought of volume for a SA LOL i know its tarded but you learn alot i guess when you have to go through all of this stuff.

Yeah I remember the last IUI my hubby and I did, I was like that is it? But the doctor said it was the best sample he had seen all week! i was all nervous for no reason apparently!! HAHA!
