Congrats! Such a relief to have a good beta #, isn't it?! I'll be that it doubles by Wednesday. U/S Friday is great too. Mine is scheduled for next Monday and my ET was the day after yours. Its funny RE's do things so differently! Congrats again!

My 6wk heartbeat u/s is on Friday. A lil nervous, but he's thriving in there! If he's anything like his father (who's only 5'11" but wears a size 15 shoe), his feet are probaby the size of a newborn's already! lol

Its so nice to hop on here and see how great everyone is doing!!! Its SO wonderful that we're all pregnant!!!

I go for my first ultra sound on Thursday and I'm a little scared! I had two embryos implanted and I am kind of afraid that they both took. Suddenly two seems like so much at once - especially with a seven-month old at home!

How is everyone else doing? When do all the ultra sounds begin for you all?

Amber - i was thinking that both might have stuck...and if they did, i will be ecstatic! This is my first pregnancy and if i can knock it out at one time...i will definitely be up for that. I guess i'll find out on Friday! eeks!

Lala - At least having 2 now doesn't seem as difficult as it would have been for your first pregnancy. At least now you have experience under your belt with a baby at home! I mean, c'mon, if you can handle infant twins and a toddler, you can do anything! lol

bepositive - My original plan was to transfer 2 embryos, because I want to have a hysterectomy after I have my kids so my uterus stops causing me trouble all the time. I want to be able to go to the gym & work out, and play with my kids, and do normal everyday activities without being in excruciating pain for days on end. We were only able to transfer 1 embryo (no regrets, though! I'm blessed to get this far!), so I'm gonna have to decide if I want to stop at 1 (I'd prefer to have at least 2), or if I want to deal with my uterus long enough to have a second child.

My first u/s was last Thurs @ 4w6d, and I saw him for the first time. A lil black dot! lol The 6w u/s coming up this Friday is making me a lil nervous, but I'm excited at the same time.

1st beta Monday = 1283 13dp5dt
2nd beta Wednesday = 2336 15dp5dt

I still don't understand all the beta talk but all I know as long as it keeps rising them I'm doing pretty good.

1st ultrasound is this Friday!!

Hi Guys!

Just returned from my first ultrasound. Right now I am having twins... however, one is much larger than the other and the doctor said he thinks that smaller one is probably not going to keep growing. He said we'll watch it and see how it goes at the next ultrasound (which I think isn't for another week or two).

I'm not positive how I feel about it. I really wanted to have ONE, but now that I saw two, I am kind of hoping the little one will hang on... I guess it's all in God's hands so I'm going to leave it all up to him!

Keep me posted on how you all do with your ultrasounds!

Lala - How bittersweet. I know how difficult this must be for you to wrap your head around. You're right - it's in God's hands at this point.

Stay positive, and keep this in mind: you will have AT LEAST 1 healthy baby, which was the goal all along, and it's still a miracle, especially with something as uncertain as IVF.

Hopefully your doctor doesn't make you wait longer than a week for your next u/s, especailly in a situation like this. IMO, you should probably be monitored at least weekly at this important stage.

Hi Amber, April & Everyone -

I go back on Thursday for the next ultrasound. I'm still not sure how I feel, but I'm kind of hoping that the second one will hang in there. Of course, I will be happy to have one happy, healthy child. It's just had to image that there are two there now, but that in the end one may disappear.

There are two RE's at my center. My last ultrasound wasn't done with my usual guy, so I'm hoping I'll have my guy on Thursday. He's not the warmest guy alive, but I really trust and respect him so I really want to hear what he has to say.

I will definitely keep you all posted. How is everyone else doing? Everyone feeling good and having blissfully, uneventful pregnancies so far?

Hi everyone! Hope all is well.....I updated my signature with my current stats. Anyhow..How do i turn on my HTML on my signature so that i can put a ticker on there? My HTML says it's off but doesn't have the option to click on it to turn it on?

bepositive - you have to use a code labeled PseudoHTML, UBBCode or BBCode. If you make your ticker on Lilypie, it'll list that kind of code under 'forum signatures' when you finish putting together your ticker. Hope that helps!
On another note, it looks like our appointments are running on the same schedule lol

Lala- I hate it when you have to see a doctor you're not used to, especially for something as important as this. Hopefully your regular RE can give you some better news! both lil beans hang in there!!
