I took Zoloft when I started realizing there was a "problem" with me, and I haven't stopped taking it. I took it through my pregnancy (IUI baby) back in 04-05. I initially took it for anxiety/depression, and soon realized how much it was helping with my frequent migraines. My doctors (3 of them) kept very close watch over all of my levels, and my DS (he's now 4) never showed any problems with the meds. I only breastfeed for a week, but nothing showed up in whatever test they did with the milk. The doctor point blank asked me if I wanted to survive the pregnancy/birth/first year of my son's life, or did I want to get off of the meds. Of course I chose my child's life (and mine) and I haven't looked back. My DS has never been behind on any chart. Plus, as an educator, I am proud to say that he is at least a year ahead of his peers cognitively and socially.

In my case, medicine was the best thing I could do. My doctors said it was fine, and they were correct. Do what you feel is right. For me, I have had a better life through medicine.
