I just wanted to share with you my story. I am married for 8 years and we have been trying to get pregnant for about 13 months and did one IUI but it failed. We were planing to do IVF this month, and I started acupuncture with a certified doctor 2 months ago and took Chinese herbal medicine. on May, 3 days before my first day of my period, I started the treatment twice a week and on my day 11, 13 and 15 I did the accupuncture as well- while trying to get pregnant naturally. On my 22nd of my cycle I noticed spotting! And on my 23rd I did another accupuncture. On my 28th day of my cycle, I did a home pregnancy test and IT WAS POSITIVE!!!! I was in shock, happy and sad and excited and scared...

I am 7 weeks pregnant!

I don't know if it was the acupuntcture...about 4 months ago, I lost 20 lbs and also from May 5th to June 14, I did alot of gardening, cutting bushes, shoveling, mulching- I lifted about 10-12 bags of mulches and carrying them throughout the yard without knowing that I was pregnant!

Maybe the combination of these helped me to get pregnant. Or maybe it just happened when we did not expect it after 13 months.


I hope everyone who comes here on this site and all over the world get pregnant very soon. And I hope my pregnancy stays with me.

How did you find your accupuncturist?

I did a few sessions of acupuntcure leading up to my ET. Also did a session before and after my ET (on the day of ET). And I got a BFP. DH did acupuncture and took chinese herbs for a few months at the end of last year to improve semen quality before our ivf attempt. I think it helped both of us. I found the acupuncturist by searching online for acupuncturist in my area who specialize in infertility. You can call their office and ask questions to weed out the ones who don't seem to know what they are talking about-process of elimination. This might be a weird question and I know what acupuntcure is but what do they do?
