Round 4 of Clomid

I am about to start my 4th round of clomid and we are thinking about trying IUI this time. We are very nervous about spending the money on this procedure when we do not know if it is going to work. The last 3 months have been the biggest rollercoaster ride of our lives. DH and I not dealing very well. We are afraid of another disapointment. Can anybody tell me if IUI is worth it? And another questions does anyone else have to take progestone during their 2ww?

Me-31 unexplained
DH-32 SA Fantastic

Hi,

I had 4 cycles of Clomid with all BFN
Then we moved to RE and did one more cycle with Clomid +IUI.
Will see what happen next.

P.S. Happy Birthday to you!

Good luck!

DH and I did 3 cycles of IUI with Clomid, all of which ended up being negative, but I'm really glad we tried before doing IVF. I thought of it as a percentages game. Clomid increased the chances of conception on my end by making more eggs, but IUI really is what will increase the chances of conception on DH's end by saving his little swimmers the travel through the cervical mucus and up the uterus to the fallopian tubes. It's definitely more expensive than Clomid and timed intercourse, but to me it was our chance to do something before spending the tons of thousands of dollars on the IVF. Good luck with your decision!
