Vericocele

Anyone's hubby been diagnosed? How did surgery go if you did it and how much does it increase your pregnancy chances?

Thanks!

Bonnie ( Pembroke Welsh Corgi)
Fertility Meds:

Clomid: 50 mgs Feburary, March, April - days 5-9
Clomid: 50 mgs June, July, August - days 3-9

SA for hubby in June - low count. Changed to boxers, lowered caffeine.
Retest on July 14th. - low count again.
Want to send husband to urologist.

RE sending me for Glucose Test on 7/23 - normal.
RE appointment: on 8/6 was pretty blah.
Urologist confirms hubby likely has small case of vericocele. Going for another sperm test and culture on 8/21 and then consult on 9/3.

Hubby has two. One larger that he had surgery on and a smaller one. After surgery (And being told we would never concieve on our own) his counts rose form around 7 mill to around 15 mill. Of course we don't know where it's at now but it doesn't really matter as we moved onto IVF w ICSI.

We did get pregnant twice on our own with clomid and once with IUI. (all resulting in loss but hey, it was worth the try.)

The surgery wasn't too bad. He was laid up for a few days but back to work in less than a week.

Yes, our twins were concieved via IVF but we have both male and female factor fertility issues that were facing us.
