Hi Natty: I was diagnosed with high prolactin levels a few months ago. I wouldnt worry quite yet as my Dr. had told me there are a lot of causes such as if you didnt fast the morning of, if you exercised recently, if you were nervous that morning, and so on. Unforunetly mine turned out to be a pituitary tumor.... but dont freak out yet. It is easily controlled with medication and no surgery needed. I was taking the pills for a few weeks and my levels went from 77 to 4. If you have any questions please feel free to private message me. Hope this helps.

I had that issue in my early twenties. I also did not get my periods often. I took some meds for the high prolactin. It did not fix my menstrual cycle. When I started testing for infertility and such the prolactin was no longer an issue.

It can also be stress-related.
