I am right along with you girlfriend. I got AF on Oct. 3 so I am starting my meds on the 5th, should have an u/s on CD 12. October might be our month

Hello Ladies,

This is my first IUI ever. I started my meds yesterday. I took one shot of Menopur and 1 tablet of Letrazole. I also had my first ultrasound yesterday. I have severo Endometriosis, so I am really hoping that I respond well to the meds. I have been feeling really emotional and will be crying for everything.

Thank you, I did not think my emotions were going to be so high.

I should be going for my second ultrasound on 10/12.

Hi guys, I was just wondering how much IUI cost for you. In my area, there is only one fertility clinic and the cost there is $1200-2000 without meds. Plus initial testing will be around $2000. Is it everywhere expensive like that? Thanks

dream2bamommy-that seems about right for an IUI but I think it depends on the place. My doc is a little less.

Does your insurance cover it?

No, insurance doesn't cover anything, that's why I just can't figure out how to pay for everything

My insurance paid for testing but it would not pay for any fertility treatment. I have been saving little by little in order to do my first IUI. My meds were about $511 and the IUI including ultrasounds will be about $750 so it comes to a total of about $1260.

My Clomid is 20, my ovidrel is 95, and my progestrone capsles are 40. B/w and U/S are 90% covered and the sperm washing was 125, and actual IUI 250. If only the stress didn't cost so much!

Im doing my first IUI this week. Im nervous cause my eggs were only sizes 13 and 14. They want at least 19 or better. So I go Wednesday for another ultra-sound.What size does your dr like yours to be?

But my IUI cost $300 and $50 for the trigger shot and my insurance covers my clomid and ultrasounds plus I have a $25 co-pay. So my whole cycle for IUI is about $450.!

I guess if you pay for IUI anywhere under $1000 for everything, that is pretty good. I wonder why it is so expensive in SC. There is one clinic here and their prices are outrageous. And insurance doesn't cover anything. It is hard enough already and then you if you can't afford any treatments... ugh...
