We are planning on TTC our last bundle of joy by (or around) the end of the year. If we can hold out that long.

We'll probably be using the follistim injectables as well as metformin like we did when we concieved our son Logan. Along with Timed Intercourse.

How we are preparing now:
-trying to loose weight
-starting back on my pre-natal vitamins
-bought a new car that will hold "one more"
-need to make an appointment to re-new my referral
-need to start back on metformin
- Also looking to possibly start Goats Rue (to help with low milk supply that I had with my son), so I might have a better chance of breastfeeding our next.

Over all, getting very excited!!!

Hi. Our plans our to be doing IVF with PGD (due to my miscarriages) in December. I have an appt with the RE to discuss my IVF plan.

A little freaked out about ALL the meds. But, I have to go for it.

Until then, trying to eat less soy ( I am a vegetarian and soy really can mess up your Estrogen). Getting a few pounds off to offset the pounds the meds will put on. And have some fun. This year has been tough.

DRB,

In your sig it says you think a tiny cervix may be the culprit. Has your RE told you that? I also have a very tiny cervix and it takes a 90 degree turn and the doc is still having us to regular intercouse with the Femara. He acts like it is not a problem. But it does make sense that it might be. I would just be curious what you have heard.

The first RE told me that. Its really tiny and he said "it may have been super impossible for anything to get through there". I would insist on IUI. If you are taking the meds, why not do all you can do. Thats kind of what my husband I thought at first.

Hi,

I have ended yet another cycle with a yesterday. has shown her ugly face this morning.

Because I was on Gonal-f this last cycle, I have to wait 1 cycle in order to start ttc again. My Dr has told me not to bother ttc this month, as my chances are almost non-existant - I need to get the "left-overs" of this last cycle out of my system first. Still, I will keep trying - just in case.

I will continue ttc au naturale next cycle as well, and if that also fails, I will probably go for another FET.

Best of luck & sending lots of baby dust your way!

Please KUP!

Welcome Denise and Lila!!!

Lila- I'm sorry this cycle didn't work out for you

I've never heard of a "tiny" cervix problem. If it is a known issue I don't see why your dr. wouldn't insist on an IUI or IVF.

Will having a small cervix make it difficult to deliver naturally once you do become pregnant? Will they need to do a c-section?

My Dr. said I have cysts on my ovaries, can't remember the exact name of it. He discovered them when doing an ultrasound and suddenly the room went silent as he searched around and THOUGHT he was seeing a third ovary...lol...after a closer look he diagnosed it as cysts on my cervix. But they had no affect on my pregnancy or delivery.

May I join In

I would like some buddies as we try to complete our family. Wannabigbelly I remember you from the other thread. I think you have a great plan and I wish you much success. What is metaformin? We too need a bigger car for our gang now seems to be the time to buy one so we will look.

I am trying naturally no more meds for this gal, it just feels right for us right now. I do have some frozen embies but trying naturally is what we want to do. I am temping and waiting to ovulate and than we will do the plus add prometrium.

Denise and LilaI do have a cervix that is retroflex or something like that. Iui are pretty painful and I have conceived naturally my doc said its not really an issue but you never know they all have their opinions.

I would love a fall 2010 baby maybe Oct or Nov so lets get this thread more active and see some

woohoo...welcome. welcome!! This is getting exciting.

Our original plan was to ttc naturally until Dec 09 when he turned 1. But I still have not had my period. I was having some regular symptoms (of a more regular cycle) but I never got the flow and never did OPK's to see if i was actually ovulating or not. Though it was a pretty mute point up until recently since DH was deployed anyways.

But now he is here and we can our hearts out...lol!!! If only I had normal cycles (uhg).

But that's okay, I'm excited to go back to the dr. and get started trying again. It's pretty cool to watch your eggs grow and think...hmmm...that little egg might be the start of my baby.

Ballerina girl I have a question. Why did they decide your eggs were "near the end" I am beginning to wonder if mine are as well. Your FSH and mine are about the same, as we know that does not tell the whole story. Did you ever do PGD on your embryo's with your eggs?

Denise-I had an fsh of 4 at 39 and most recently it is a 5. I made plenty of great looking eggs but my estradiol was high and I always hyperstimmed which was not normal for a 40 year old. Re was stumped he said keep trying my endpoint was near. Some re said the high estradiol just burned up my embies. So nothing can implant, I will never know. As far as pgd I never did it but I think its worth a try if you want to cut your journey short and get pregnant or look at your other options. (donor egg, adoption)As far as eggs being near the end as long as you make eggs these re will let you try but it all depends on how much you can take. This treatment can really beat up a person's self worth and is hard emotionally, physically and financially. I wish you the best and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. I think you will have a baby in your future just keep trying I would not take many months off. If I was 38 I would be aggressive.

wannabigbelly-No period in sight for me yet and no positive opk so I wait..........and practice hee, hee!

Thanks Ballerina girl. I have yet to take injectibles, so its hard to predict how well I will stim from them. clomid 100 I had 5 follicles over 18, 50 mg produced 2 each time. I think my end point is when the $$ from insurance is gone. That looks like one-two IVF's and one maybe two FET. I have no idea how much each cycle is, I have 35K in fertility benefits with an additional 15K in meds. So far, I have not used too much of it with the IUI's. . So far with the clomid, my E2's were in normal range. That is wild your Estridol did that. I agree, This can take its toll. The miscarriages took a toll on me. I can't do many more of those. I agree, not to wait too long. I turn 39 in two weeks. Looks like a Dec/Jan IVF if I don't have to have a D and C or Nov/Dec IVF if its a go.

Thanks for your feedback. The PGD is out of pocket, my husband is who is rather tight with the dollar said "Heck yes we are doing it". He wants to ensure like I do that these are chromosomally the best embryos, not just from the looks of them.

Denise -Good plan I would move forward to ivf!!! Pgd can help with pregnancy rates but do some homework on whether or not your clinic has experience with this. If not send out for it to cornell or chicago. I made pretty embies but you can't go on what they look like. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that you will be a mommy soon. You are very lucky to have insurance coverage use it girlie.
