Anyone starting stims between now and the end of the month?
Just started the stim part today - Here we go again !

Had 7 embryo's transferred 02/15/09  on hpt ,,, very faint02/17/09 Beta Test 24 02/20/09  03/15/09 Started 2nd EPP 04/06/09 ET - 2 good follies 04/09/09 ET Trans1 4 cell - other Arrested  04/20/09 Beta?? = NADA 6/15/09 CCT FSH 4.5 and E2 32 8/8/09 IVF # 3 start stims Epp 8/21/09 ER 12 Eggs ,,,, TG ...  8/22/09 9 Eggs Fertilized 8/23/09 ET on day 2 - transferred 8 embies 9/04/09... beta only 11 09/08/09 Beta only 12 - not going to work out 10/05/09 IVF # 4 - Started Estrace 10/14/09 Started Stims 10/28/09 15 eggs - 5 fertilized 10/31/09 Transferred 4 embryos. 2 x 4 cell 1 x 5 cell 1 x 7 cell 11/11/09

Hi Sticktome: See my signature but it sounds like we have a lot in common. I should be having ER sometime later this week (I hope). It has been a helluva an emotional rollercoster last week when they only saw one follicle (after having seen 7). I was ready to throw in the towel. But yesterday, UTZ showed 4 follicles all the same size (finally) just growing slowly. I am trying to be optimistic but as you know it is so hard. Infertility is the hardes thing I have come up against both financially and emotionally. Anyways how are you doing? Where are you in the protocol - on estrace (pill or injection)?

ME: Unexplained infertility, 41 yo SO: Perfect, 30 yo 5 years together and going strong  SashaMay 2008, Miscarriage at 7 weeks, Jan 09 Follistim, Feb 09 Follistim April 09 IVF cycle May 09 Converted to IUI due to poor response to lupron & gonal-F  May 19 - IUI June 2 - August 13th: IVF Cycle - 9 potential follicles August 15th: Start BCP,Gonal-F, Menopur, Dexamethasone August 19th- Converted to IUI cycle due to poor response to menopur & gonal-f.  August 25th- IUI Sept 4 Sept 8 - started Acupuncture Sept 25 - IVF Cycle started - began Estrace & Androderm patch Oct 10- 7 potential follicles. Started Menopur, Gonal-F, dexamethasone Oct 15 - 1 visible follicle - SO UPSET AND . Cont medsOct 20 - 5 follicles all 6-9 mm. Still in the running for IVF. Slow progress but at least all the same size!!! Wk of Oct 26th - ER and ET

Sounds like you have a chance ... I was off the board over the weekend so I am dying to hear if you had any progress... I am doing the EPP with 600 units of menopur ... I did the estrace pill for 7-10 days can't remember exactly and I am going in for u/s and b/w tomorrow am ... It is hard and we have to keep going and pull up our boot straps etc ..... it has been a tough year for dh and I .. but I know others have it worse and I hold on to the faith that it will happen ... Looking forward to hearing from you!

There are a few boards on the Infertility Treatments - IVF thread you might like to join. There is a late october-early november thread, and a November thread. You can join both if you want. It really helps having a group of ladies going through the same thing you are at about the same time! Just wanted to say good luck and hope to see you on the boards!

Sticktome- how did your UTZ go? I hope you have good news..... I also went today for an utz and b/w. 5 follicles - thank God! Still growing just slowly. B/W much better. RE says it looks really good for IVF this cycle. Estimated ER will be the 26 or 27. You are so right...it has been a really tough year for my SO and I. Very challenging....hopefully you and I can end 2009 with . I looked at the other threads but there are so many people on those threads for this time period. Plus you and I have alot in common. Can hardly wait to hear your update. Kim

well you are progressing in the right direction ,,, and u are a young chick too it will happen ...Blood word normal for my stage in ivf,, and about 5 follies each side one over 12mm ... starting to feel things grow or getting dense ... I think we will be doing er together ... I agree there are too many people on the boards ... I can only keep up with 10 or less ... maybe a sign of getting older ...lol when is ur next u/s ... mine is Friday!

Sounds like this may be the month for you.....I go tomorrow morning for another utz. Grow follies grow!!! Today I felt really "out of sorts" maybe the hormones are getting to me. Hopefully everything goes well for both of us . Will email tomorrow with updates.Take Care Kim

How is everything going ... or should I say growing?? Has b/w and u/s today too ... e2 jumped to 1438 - lining 11mm and 5 over 12mm and about 10 under .... next b/w and u/s on Sunday ... things are progressing - and of course I am about to go thru a very stressful week next week - trying to helo dh move from his weekday house - he commutes! and trying to fit in the er/et - ah the joys of life - imagine trying to throw a poor child into the mix Hope everything went well for you and you are progressing - dying to hear ... The worst news...
Dear Sticktome:
Well my estrogen stopped rising yesterday and my follicles have not grown in two days. My RE says this is reflective of egg quality and does not recommend IVF. Needless to say I am devastated. It is so difficult to accept that I will not have biological children of my own. My heart is truly broken. Best of luck to you. Kim

Hey Kim,
So Sorry to hear about your set back ... and yes - it is only a set back - you will feel better in a few weeks and maybe you can look for a new re - after all you are only 41 !!! Maybe you know deep inside you are not ready to give up and you will find the strength to continue ?? Take some time just to do anything but think of kids and ivf .... please keep in touch ... btw I am doing 600 Menopur and it is very aggressive - can you try somthing like that ? Take good care of yourself
