heparin, baby aspirin and fish oil
Hi there - I have been told I have antiphospholipid antibodies and heparin has been suggested. I really don't want to take it as I've taken it with a few tries in the past and it didn't do the trick at least initially. I'm trying to figure out if taking baby aspirin along with fish oil supplements will do the trick. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks!

bunniswife - thanks for your response! I actually don't have the APL syndrome, just the antibodies. I'm trying not to have to take the heparin at all and am trying figure out if fish oil as an alternative would do the trick along with the baby aspirin.

If you have the antibodies you could end up with early MC (we lost 3 babies because I wasn't on the heprin) if you don't use the heprin early on to prevent your blood from clotting. Plus some patients (like me), get APS only when pregnant so my numbers are higher during pregnancy. I would do the heprin and be glad I found a doctor that supported me.
