I am only 28 years old, and I am having hot flashes! I am on the menopause??

Okay, I am just 28 years old. I am not taking no medication of any type, but I keep having hot flashes, and sweating a lot specially at night. Does that mean I am on the menopause or something?? I don't know what the hell is going on with me!!!

Linethlabella-

I think it's probably unlikely you are experiencing menopause at your age. It can be a sign of maybe other hormonal things going on possibly or other things like maybe a virus= hot flashes can be a sign of other things. I think it's a good idea to meet with a doctor and maybe have them check you out. Hope you are okay!

After I went of BC Pills I went through about a year of syptoms that were very much like menopause. Hot flashes, insomnia, I stopped having my cycle and was constantly anxious and short of breath. I was later diagnosed with PCOS. I still think my hormones are not right but I have slowly been getting better this year. Do check in with a doctor and if you don't get any help there check with a naturopath or an accupuncturist. Sometimes western medicine is so dismissive of these kinds of symptoms. Good Luck.

It could very well be hormonal. I don't think you are going through menopause. It could actually be your thyroid, so you should have your doctor check that as well.

While I'm no expert and I sincerely hope this isn't what's going on, I would definitely have it checked out bc it IS possible.

At one of our adoption orientations, we went around the room to introduce ourselves and explain why we were there. There was a young couple (not older than 30) where the woman said that she went through early menopause in her 20s and therefore could no longer carry a pregnancy.

I don't want to scare you, but the sooner you find out what's going on, the better.

Best of luck!

Thanks girls for your replies!!

Well, thanks girls for replying! I alredy made an appointment with my doctor because these symptoms are not right. I know it is not my thyroid because they checked it like 2 months ago and it is normal. Never ever in my life I have taken any kind of birth control no pills no nothing so who knows what the hell is going on I hope it is not premature menopause or else I am screwed!!!!! Thanks for your help girls!!!
