Anybody out there? Need support.

Hi everyone,

Well I got another dreaded BFN on Saturday. I can't take much more of this. It's been a 3 year battle. My FSH is great, I stimulate well and only a few small issues have been detected. My TSH was borderline high so I've been on meds for a year. I had a lap done in March. I had a slight amount of endo and the scar tissue was removed. I also had an inflammation of my lining and was given antibiotics which took care of it. I started unmedicated IUIs in March. I had a chemical pregnancy in June or July, can't remember. I then started cycles with Gonal f in August. I overstimulated so now each cycle the RE learns more and gets better and dosing me but all negative betas. Is there something we may be missing? There is definitely fertilization. I've had biopsies and a lap and my lining looks good. I'm even taking progesterone cream. Someone mentioned baby aspirin to me. I'm asking the RE about this. Anyone have chemical pregnancies? Do you take vit. B3 and baby aspirin for this? I can't take much more. I hate to walk away when the RE finally has my meds straight but this is brutal. I've been hurt on a monthly basis for 3 years. Hearing it's negative all the time is killing my DH and me. Please any thoughts or ideas or experiences you may have would be so appreciated.

hi vanna just wanted to wish you luck and some peace...i know how hard this can be...i never dreamed it would be like this when i met my dh ...i had a chemical in june that was my first attempt with iui and clomid...i don't have words for how bad that was...after many months of adjusting and attempting we made it to another iui last month which was bfn...i am scheduled next week for a lap to remove my blocked tube and check everything in there to see if anything else is hurting my chances...i have borderline tsh...hypo...i take prenatals...i attempted baby aspirin but found out was a bad idea as i am anemic and iron supplement does not help so the aspirin caused some major bruising issues...maybe if you have the strength and patience more time is the only thing you and your dh need...if time and patience is not your thing anymore have you spoken to your re about ivf...money is tight to say the least right now but it highly increases your odds and also sheds more light on what is happening as they can see the embryo's develop. i wish you luck and strength and patience as you continue your journey...

I can definitely relate to the pain of trying over and over again. They actually can't find anything wrong with me which is frustrating.

They don't like to run tests unless you have m/c but try: have your doc run some tests re: immune disorders (i/e antiphospholipid antibodies) and clotting disorders= they can interfere with implantation. (particularly if anyone in your family has a h/x of lupus or a clotting disorder.) This is why people take the baby aspirin. But not everyone can. See if you can convince them to run the tests. It's kind of unfair they wait for m/c's to do it. As it can prevent pregnancy.

I also would suggest trying to get a second opinion- just a fresh perspective.

Hang in there, I know it's tough. I still don't have a that's lasted. And IVF does bypass a lot of the issues you've mentioned, and it sounds like you haven't attempted that yet. They say if 3-6 IUI's haven't worked- it's time to do IVF. Statistically it's unlikely to work after that point, I wish someone had told me that a few years ago.

Take some time off if you must, I think that has helped us a lot. Vacation was very helpful. It felt good and helped us refocus on the things that were still + in our lives even if the hpt test wasn't.

Thank you for all your support. I actually had IVF. It was with my former RE. We paid out of pocket and I didn't need it medically. It just increases your chances. I learned that my eggs fertilize on their own. I switched REs and when I had the lap I had some scar tissue removed but found out that my lining had chronic inflammation. This has been treated. I take crinone progesterone gel. My lining was a 10 the day before IUI last cycle. I am scared that it is an implantation issue but everything so far has been normal and the RE actually was in there with the lap. I'll see about more testing. I haven't really had miscarriages other than the chemical a few months ago. I got a positive beta but only a 24 and that was without meds. The RE felt positive about this because he thought the lap enhanced my fertility and I got the positive without meds. I am now trying my 3rd medicated cycle. The first one didn't count because I was over stimulated. We shall see. Good luck to all of you.
