understanding my HSG test
My doctor gave me a written diagnoses on a piece of paper after I did a HSG test but he had little time to explain me all the terms mentioned inside,
If somebody can help it will be highly appreciated, This is part of what he wrote: "Both tubes fill and spill rapidly, both tubes demonstrate irregular contour and a slightly wider lumen then normal. Distally both tubes demonstrate clear distal PHIMOSES and small distal HYDROSALPINGES," Can someone please explain me what is "distal phimoses" and "dital hydrosalpinges"? what is a "wider lumen"? and what does he mean by " irregular contour"? |

Hi Ideas-
I have no idea what those terms mean. Sorry your doctor was so rushed & didn't explain the findings from your HSG. that stinks! i'd call his office ASAP & get them to translate into lay terms your results- no way you are paying to do medical research on your own! good luck!
