IVF Success with low AMH???
Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to start my second IVF cycle and was wondering if anyone could give me some personal info on their own success with a low AMH level. As you can see from my signature I am 33 and fertility wise healthy except for my very low AMH level of .36. My doctor has me on COQ10 and DHEA to improve my eggs, and when I went yesterday for my consultation to begin my second IVF cycle I asked my dr how many times it normally takes someone in my situation to have a successful IVF and she told me normally 2 or 3 times. I am just curious and hopefull to hear some of your success stories since I am very nervous my second attempt wont be successfull either. We were able to get 6 mature eggs after my egg retrival and 3 fertilized with ICSI, on the day of my transfer I had 2 very good embryos transfered to me, but got a BFN. Unfortunately we dont have any frozen embryos so an FET is not an option.

Red face Me too...
I've done 2 IUIs, then had an IVF converted to an IUI when only two follicles matured. I'm 38 and my AMH is .34. I'm hopping a plane to the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine this weekend for a second opinion. Planning to ask them about DHEA. Will let you know if I have any success.

I did IVF exactly one year ago. I was 27 and my AMH was 0.2. It was successful, and I now have 4 month old twins. My RE had me on a scary aggressive protocol... Extremely high meds for 19 days. Two high quality embryoes were transferred, and I started out with triplets as one split into identicals, but then I lost one. Good luck to you

Hi Bella
I am in the same Boat as you. Low AMH of 0.3
I am also juggling between IVF's and IUI's and highly confused whether I should take IVF this next cycle or IUI or completely skip a month.
My first two ended in chemicals and that gave me a hope .
RE says it is the egg quality issue but she did not suggest any supplements. I did ask her about coq10 and DHEA and she said I don't need it... I am confused as well...

I would love to hear others experiences as well. I'm curious to see how I respond to my next cycle. 1st cycle was cancelled 3/4 of the way thru for poor response, 2nd cycle produced a few follicles but they were all empty. Good luck!

March 2013- Switched clinics & enrolled in donor egg program- anxiously waiting for our 1st profile

May 2013- selected donor, hoping to start in June

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. I had my AMH tested in early 2011 and it was .2. My first IVF cycle resulted in a chemical pregnancy, my 2nd cycle was cancelled prior to egg retrieval due to premature ovulation, but the third time was a charm for me. I know other women who have also had success with IVF with low AMH.

Don't give up hope!

My AMH is low as well at 0.5 with an FSH of 12 and while I got low quantities of eggs, my most recent cycle, which was for a sibling, resulted in only 3 eggs fertilized. Thankfully all 3 grew and we were able to transfer them all and are now almost 23 weeks pregnant with twin boys. My previous cycle for my daughter we didn't check an AMH but my FSH was elevated and we were also successful on our seconsd ycle (first was a chemical)

Hi there,

I am in the same situation, my AMH is 0.4 and so far no luck but it will come ... You can find more from my signature, I heard that micro-dose lupron is a good protocol for low AMH and I will try it for my 3rd IVF that just started. I will keep you posted...Good luck to you!!!!

I just had my baseline today and decided to do IVF..but from U/s I saw few cysts ..now waiting for the nurse call to see what she suggests..
