Hi Ladies,
I just came across an article on a new IVF technique where they implant the embryo under the uterine lining. Here is the link and an excerpt from the article. Looks promising. I also looked at this doctor's website- he's in L.A.

Michael Kamrava, M.D., embryo implantation expert: "The traditional way of putting embryos inside the uterus blindly and just releasing it on the surface, these embryos really aren't ready to attach themselves to the lining of the uterus. But by doing this, actually inserting it inside the lining, we're sure that it's going to be there."
The instrument Dr. Kamrava uses for the procedure is a scope with a tiny camera. He's able to feed a very fine catheter through it with a needle point tip. This is then inserted into the uterus wall, and the embryo is implanted.
He calls it Sub Endometrial Embryo Delivery (SEED). Dr. Kamrava holds a patent on the instrumentation used for the procedure.
The flexible tip of the scope means the doctor can direct the thin catheter carrying the embryos. Typically they're implanted on day five or six of their development -- just as they're hatching.
Michael Kamrava, M.D., embryo implantation expert: "The pregnancy rate from that day on is anywhere from 40- to 80-percent, depending on how good the embryos are. So we are certain the technology is working, and we're not leaving things up to chance anymore."
