Hello there~
I am new here, and am a 23 year old Hair Stylist from Utah. My DH and I have been TTC for almost 2 years. DH had semen analysis which turned out to be a little bit low but our OB said it shouldn't be a huge problem. I had Hysterosalpingogram and both tubes are open. I have always had regular periods. My progersterone levels are low and luteal phase is a little short. We went to our new Ob this month and right away he put me on 50mg Clomid for cycle days 6-10, and then did IUI on cycle day 15. Its now 4dpIUI and I am going crazy, its all I can think about and I am sure I am driving my DH abolutely nuts! Any words of encouragement at this point will help. My DH is a great guy but he just doesn't understand why I can't just relax and not think about it. I think a womens shoulder to cry on is what I need.

to the forum Melanee! You have come to the right place. All of us have gone through the phase you are going through and believe me there is nothing wrong in your behavior. It's the harmones doing the crazy things. Just take it easy and things will turn out fine. Good luck and keep us posted!

The 2ww sure is torture, but try and busy yourself to get through it......until you get your in 10 days!

welcome....i know what are dealing with...my dh is so tired of hearing me obsess... Its so hard to wait isn't it? I hope this is the month for you. Did they check your progesterone levels related to the short luteal phase? I know opinions are differing right now on LPD and what to do. My OB won't do clomid unless you have a big workup which i haven't had so I am doing progesterone for my short luteal phase but I am not sure its working.

Melanee, I hope you find the support and information that you need! I also sought out this site because I was driving my DH crazy by talking about IF constantly! This has been a lifesaver for both me and my marriage!

Have you used OPK's to make sure that you're ovulating? Some people find that they have regular cycles but are not ovulating. Just something to think about. Best of luck to you and let us know anytime you need to talk and/or vent!

Hey gals~
I appreciate all of the kind words and its so wonderful how quickly all of the responses came in. A few answers to some of the questions that were asked to me....My OB did prescribe Prometrium and told me to start taking it on Friday which will be exactly one week since my IUI. Yes I have done OPK's before and every month it shows me O on days 15 and 16. I have tried temping too but no luck. This is my first IUI and my first round of clomid so I am hoping that the spermies just needed to get a little closer to the target. I don't want to get my hopes up too much but today was alot better as far as keeping my mind busy! Thanks everyone! I already feel like I have good friends here and I have only been a member for less than 24 hours!

Melanee! Are you going to have a progesterone test before you take it?

I know the 2ww is torture. But we will get you through it. One day at a time. Will you POAS or do you have a beta scheduled?

My OB just said to start taking it (progesterone~one a day) for a week and then take a hpt if its positive he told me to double up. If its negative he said to keep taking one a day until af comes. Thanks I will for sure keep ya'll posted!

Melanee, welcome to the forum - I'm glad you've found us. As for some words of encouragement, I can say from experience that dwelling on the cycle doesn't make it go any faster. In fact I think the more I dwell and concentrate the slower it goes. So try and distract yourself, busy your mind and before you know it the time will go by quickly. As for the prometrium, I've been on it twice now during both pregnancies and it does help. I too just took one pill a day. So here is to a fast two weeks for you and a great surprise to come!
