Pcos

Hi, I am new here. A little bit about myself, I am 27 DH is 31. We have been TTC #1 for 3 years now. I started seeing a RE in August 2006. He diagnosed me with PCOS. However I DO NOT have a hormonal imbalance? He ran blood tests and everything came back fine. During my first ultra sound visit he said I had cysts on my ovaries. I have irregular cycles, mostly ranging from 29-36 days, however, I have been known to skip months here and there. The longest I had gone without a period was 70 days. Just last cycle I went 46 days. Today is day 35 for me. I have always had cycles like this since I was a teenager. I was on BCP for 5 years. I have bad cramps as well, I informed RE of this and he passed it off. We had tried 3 IUI's at the end of last year (all BFN) before we decided to take 2007 off to try on our own again;with no success. DH was told he has a low count and low morphology as well.

After all that Basically, my question is, is it possible to have PCOS without having a hormonal imbalance? I have never heard of this before. In January, after the holidays, DH and I are going to start seeing a new RE for a second opinion.

First of all, I hope you find the support and information that you need! There are some wonderful women on this site!

I have PCOS, but I have insulin resistance symptom. I'm not sure if this is the hormonal imbalance that you're referring to or not. What are you other symptoms that led your RE to diagnose you with PCOS? The good news is that PCOS is very treatable, so don't give up hope! Best of luck to you!!
