Question I'm scared

So I was just given a prescription to start clomid but I have a problem with not having periods. Cycle day 35 called the doc as he instructed to let him know I still had no signs of AF, took a hpt and it was , I even went back ten minutes later to take a second look just to be sure but it was still negative. Same day started taking provera 20mg x 3 days. It has now been 7 days since the last pill was taken and still no signs AF, also have had a little nausea for the past 4 days or so. So just as a thought not thinking it would show anything I took a hpt and what do you know !!!
The only thing I'm worried about now is that that could I have hurt anything, I've read it can cause birth defects or maybe the provera is still going to make me start my period and that will mess everything up. Any advice or has this happend to anyone ??

Emily, I'd definitely call the doctor first thing. I haven't ever had to take provera so I don't know the side effects and what it could do to the baby. Are your cycles normally this long? Congratulations on the BFP, let's hope that it didn't hurt the baby. Let us know when you find out something. I'm anxious for you.

OMG, 61 days! The waiting would kill me.
Is there any chance that the provera would cause a BFP?

Why do docs take so long to call us back!

Either way...I'm ing for the best for you.

Emily, that's crazy! Have you ever been tested for hormone levels or PCOS? I'd think not having a regular cycle and especially going as long as 61 days might throw up a big flag for me. Don't get me wrong mine didn't use to be normal either. I started at the ripe young age of 10 and I'd bleed for two weeks straight and about three weeks apart. I finally was advised by my OB to start birth control when I was 16 and I took it until I was 21. Actually a week after my 21st birthday was when DH and I started trying for a baby. Since then it's almost been like clockwork with a few exceptions. I hope someone calls you back soon. I'd be worried right along with you.

The irregular periods sound a lot like PCOS, which is what I have. I'm afraid I don't know anything about the side-effects of Provera on a pregnancy, but I wanted to wish you all the best! Let us know once you find something out!

Well the doc called me back, he said not to be too concerned with me already taking the provera and I already went and had some blood drawn for progesterone and beta quant, won't get the results until tomorrow. The only other question I have is if the provera could still me in my system and if it could still could have a period this many days after taking it. I'm not really having any AF symptoms, just a tiny crampy but I don't want to get to worked up.
About my cycles they did a lot of blood tests FSH, Estradiol, Progesterone and Prolactin and everything came back normal except the progesterone was low which just means I didn't ovulate. He didn't say anything about PCOS. Well I'm hoping for a positive result tomorrow! Wish me luck!

BFP!!!!! This is great...........provera cannot cause a false positive since it is a progesteron hormone

Congrats!

Well the doctor finally called me back at 7:40pm tonight. He said that my blood test confirmed I am pregnant but my number is only 46, which is lower then he would have liked to see. I did do some research and that could still mean I am only 3 weeks pregnant. I am going to get another level drawn on Saturaday but won't get the results until Monday which is just way too long to wait and worry. I just hope everything is ok. Anyone had this low of a number and still had an ok pregnancy??
