hey girls I have my 1st appt with the RE on Nov. 7th and I was wondering what to expect. I will bring my long list of questions and my labs but what do they do on the first visit? Will they give any insight to my elevated P4 levels or do they usually wait until you have been seeing them for at least 1 month? I'm a little nervous.

I have another question when did your RE have you get your after ovulation (lp) progesterone drawn? I am still seeing my gyne and he said to get it done on day 25-27 but I want to go to my appt with labs that they will use. I have read 7dpo before, when did you get yours drawn?

Mine has me get it done 9-10 dpo but it seems like most doctors and the internet say 7 dpo. I am not sure why. It concerns me a bit that mine isn't being done at the time most doctors seem to do it.... cd25-27 would be even later than mine I am thinking?

I had my first RE visit last week. He asked me and DH lots of questions, did an internal exam-fun!, bloodwork and scheduled my HSG-which was yesterday. We still have to bring in DH's sample and he's checking my after ovulation progesterone on CD22. According to his nurse, they determine the date to check your progestrone based on how long your cycle normally is. Your RE will let you know what day to get that done. It's hard to say how much insight they will give you on your first visit. Mine seems to want to run all the preliminary tests/bloodwork before giving any type of diagnosis. My next step will be a lap to check for ENDO if nothing turns up. I know I was anxious about my first visit, but so excited to start figuring out what's wrong. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks girls I thought day 25-27 was longer than what I was hearing. I'll get it drawn tomorrow 6dpo. If I don't get it drawn then I would have to wait until Tuesday 9dpo.
