low estrogen?

Does anyone know anything about low estrogen and what the impact is on trying to get pregnant? Has anyone been diagnosed with low levels? We know i have low progesterone but my eye doctor thought i might also have low estrogen due to my other problems that seem to be low hormone related. so far I haven't been tested but if it impacts fertility a lot I am going to ask them to test it.

What was wrong with your eyes? My close friend has low estrogen, just dx. She had no cervical mucus, dry thining hair, dry skin, no sex drive, and constant fatigue. She also gained some weight, she is still thin but she noticed a change in how easy she gained the extra lbs. She also has an irregular period and some months doesn't ovulate. She also spots thru part of her cycle, but she always did that. What day are you on your cycle. If you're on day 3-4 have them do the complete blood workup that way you can know for sure. I got the list of what to test for on FertilityPlus: Information Written by Patients, for Patients Also if you go to a RE you can give them the total picture. Hope this helps.

hi

about a year and a half ago my eyes suddenly got very very dry and i had to have plugs put into my tear ducts and even that didn't help much. Its just very uncomfortable. and I also started to have less CM and my good cholesterol went way down when it has always been good...and i started to have tons of spotting and more irregular periods...this stuff all started around the same time. It sometimes gets better and worse and was a bit better for a while when i got pregnant and had the miscarriage but now its not great. It sounds like low estrogen from reading and I wonder if they should be checking that. I will look at the link you posted...thanks.

I really like that web site. It is written by women like us. I think that it has some really good info. Like the cough syrup for increasing CM. Which I use, it works like a charm. I'm glad you going to the RE so they can test everything. I'm sorry you're week is ending up with such bad news.
