1) will you find out the sex of your baby? Definitely, I'm a planner and need to know ASAP. I'll find out the week after Thanksgiving.
2) do you have names already? We have names picked out for two girls and a boy & girl, but not for two boys yet. For two girls, Madelyn Susan & Mila Constancia (middle names after my mom and MIL) and if we have one boy it'll be named after my DH, Ryan Matthew Frank, Jr. 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? All depends on what we're having. Two girls will be Winnie-the-Pooh, and baby snoopy for two boys. 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? some knew even before the beta and everyone else found out after the beta. I've waited too long to keep it a secret. 5) what kind of birth do you want to have? I have to have a c-section, no choice. I'm just fine with it.

1) will you find out the sex of your baby?
I think I will. I really don't think I could hold out until the end. It would drive me nuts. With my last pregnancy (ended in a miscariage) i just KNEW it was a girl I had her name picked out right away and really felt bonded and connected to her from the moment I found out I was pregnant. This time around...I'm much more gaurded and unconneted and I hate it. I don't really feel strongly one way or another wether it's a boy or girl. I think by finding out it will make it more real for me and give me a chance to really feel connected with my little one. Plus it would be fun to be able to call it by it's name...not an "it". That, and I can't wait to go shopping and to get the nursery ready and I don't want everything all nuetral...I want to be able to shop for either boy/girl things as well!!! So I'm sure we'll probably find out the sex ASAP. 2) do you have names already? I really love the name I picked out last time for my girl...AVERY LYNNE!!! I haven't decided if I'm going to use it this time or not...but it's still at the top of my list of names. I also like the name Emma Leigh. For boys names I like Zackary Lee and Joshua Aidan. Aidan means fire...and my little one would be due around the fourth of July. I'm already calling it my "lil fire craker"(sp). And I guess for some reason I do think this one might be a boy....so I think I'm partial to Joshua Aidan....but we'll see. Right now I feel like it could go any way. I've also thought if it's a girl maybe I should name her "liberty" or "justice" as part of her name..I have friends that named their kids those things... but not sure if it's right for us??? 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? We haven't decided yet wether we're moving our house around to give our little one it's own room (I think it would be so fun to decorate a room "just for baby") but haven't decided yet. Because I'll be breastfeeding and want to have him/her in a co-sleeper beside my bed for at least the first several months or longer? So I may just keep things the way they are and decorate a little spot in my bedroom for our little one...on my side of the bed we also have an empty closted that will be just for baby...so that might work pretty well for the first year or so??? We'll see!!! DH and I have looked at some baby bedding and so far we like the eddie baur "teddy bear" collection. It could go for a boy or girl, but we may wait until we know which one it will be before making the final selection. We may want to go with somethign more gender specific. 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? ![]() We have, most are real excited, just very gaurded like we are, since we just had a miscarriage a couple months ago. Don't want to get our hopes up. 5) what kind of birth do you want to have?[/quote] GIVE ME SOME DRUGS!!! lol!!! I'll probably go without anything for the first part of labour but when things start to be too uncomfortable I'll ask for the epidural. I want to be able to ENJOY the birth...to be able to get the rest I need....and to be able to socialize with family....so that when the baby comes I won't be too exhausted to really bond with baby.

My answers
1) will you find out the sex of your baby? we are hoping to. Tried once and didn't find out. Repeat ultrasound on November 13th. If it doesn't work again we'll have a surprise baby - no worries as long as it's healthy.
2) do you have names already? Ethan Matthew for a boy and Hannah Grace for a girl 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? we are doing a nursery and the theme is "Dream Teddy" by Lambs & Ivy. It's neutral with creams, browns and greens. 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? we waited to tell our families this time until we saw the heartbeat. Everyone is thrilled. Grandparents especially, they've waited just as long as we have for this. 5) what kind of birth do you want to have? DH wants a natural delivery. We are hoping for a vaginal delivery for recovery time and I'm not promising anything on the natural side of things but I do plan on going as long as I can. Only DH will be in the room with me, not my parents or his and no friends. We want to experience becoming a family together after all these years. |

1) will you find out the sex of your baby? My dh and I both agree we want to know!! I am a planner!!
2) do you have names already? We have a few we like but not positive yet. For a boy.... Sullivan Michael or Luke Michael (dh is Michael) for a girl.....MaCoya, annalee.....still struggling with girl names LOL 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? We will be setting up a nursery.....I can't wait!! I am so excited to do that. I set up one a few years ago when we were doing the foster care classes but want to re-do it as a new start!! 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? I told anyone who would listen!! LOL I have wanted this for too long to wait another day!! Everyone is thrilled for us!5) what kind of birth do you want to have? I would love a water birth. I have always been a bath girl and feel I would be much more relaxed if I went with a water birth.....now finding someone who allows that LOL

2) do you have names already? 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? ![]() 5) what kind of birth do you want to have? 1) Absolutely we will find out! My ultrasound is less than 2 weeks away, 11/15... can't wait! 2) I have some, nothing is set in stone just yet. Girls: Grace, Abigail, Hannah Boys: James, Jacob 3) My nursery is so small!! And I have to fit 2 cribs in there. I am thinking "patchwork pooh" The furniture will be the natural, very light wood. 4) My family is very excited! My nieces and nephews think that it is just so cool that I am having twins. My mom was with me at my u/s when I found out that I was having twins. She cried, it was sweet. 5) I am really hoping for a vaginal delivery. I think the chances are 50/50 with twins. Either way, I will take all pain medication that they offer!

This is such a cute idea, thanks for starting it Alison. Of course I'm not prego but I've loved reading what everyone wants to do. It is really up lifting, I can almost see you girls glowing thru your words. Wantabigbabybelly (hope I got that right) I love your comment about give me drugs. I got my epidural about 1 hour before each of mine were born. If you want to have natural and don't be too hard on yourself. Most women aren't able to do it and those that do, a lot of them go too fast or wait too long and that is why they have the baby natural. Don't let anyone scare you with horror stories. If it were that bad I wouldn't want to have a third. Best of luck ladies and let us know about those sexes.

1) will you find out the sex of your baby? Absolutely, hopefully it works this time! My appt is scheduled Nov 23 for the gender u/s.
2) do you have names already? I have 2 names for girls and 2 for boys: Caitlin Elizabeth or Jayden Elizabeth. Matthew Anthony or Nathan Anthony. 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? We are remodeling the first nursery from our first child which became my office a few years ago when she moved up to the big girls room. I don't have any ideas picked out yet because I want to find out the sex of the baby, but I plan to get the wooden name on the wall and some more shelving. 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? I told my family the same day I got my beta results!! Everyone was ecstatic and happy it finally happened.5) what kind of birth do you want to have? I had a vaginal delivery with my daughter with an epidural... I plan to get some kind of drugs for all that pain!! |

1) will you find out the sex of your baby?
We will definitely be finding out the sex! I'm a planner, but that feels so far away right now. 2) do you have names already? No names yet. I think I'm waiting to see the little one on the u/s before I let myself do that. 3) are you doing a nursery and if so what kind? We just moved into our house in September and it already had a room painted to be a baby's room. I've been buying a few things here and there over the last couple of years, so it already looks like we're ready to go once we get a crib! It will be an animal theme whether it's a boy or a girl. 4) have you told your families and how excited are they? ![]() My family is extremely excited and they all want the baby named after them!! ![]() 5) what kind of birth do you want to have? I'm going to play it by ear. I'd like to go natural as long as I can, but I am not opposed to an epidural either. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

hi
Yeah, it is fun to read your responses...you can definitely feel the happiness
I had one birth with an epidural and one natural (epi first, natural second) and I think its good to have an idea of what you want but really just remember that whatever you do it is ok as long as you and the baby come out ok. Being flexible is a good thing when it comes to having a baby My first birth was 17 hours and i wouldn't have made it without an epi and the second was only 3 hours and so it was doable without drugs that time.... Whatever you choose, when you have your baby to hold you won't care how it happened. Good luck to all of you ![]()
