Bad news

Well, finally hear from the doc and my progesterone is still way too low. I don't know why this stuff isn't working for me. She said he wants to double the dose and try again but it means we probably can't try yet again this month. I am really disappointed. I really wanted to just get the ok to go ahead. I think I am going to make the RE appointment.

I'd be complaining that it took them this long to get back to you. There is no reason you should have to wait more then 24 hours for those results. Timing makes such a difference!

I'm sorry about your bad news. They tell you what your level was? I agree with Jen, there is no reason to make you wait that long. Maybe you should research RE's. I had my progesterone drawn today(post-ov), I'm interested to see what it is. It will be resulted Monday so I can have it faxed to my RE's office for my 1st visit. I want to go in with as much info that I can so maybe I can get more answers. Did your levels come up at all? Maybe you need injections if the supp didn't work at all or maybe if they helped a little then they could increase your dosage.

hi

Their plan is to up my dosage and test again this cycle. I don't really think its going to work since the previous stuff didn't but who knows. I made an appointment with an RE for the 19th and hopefully that will amount to something. It was really hard when she told me it didn't work because i really thought it did this month. But I am realizing that I just have to accept that it isn't going to happen on my schedule and that is ok and when it does happen I will be happy whenever that is. ITs not my plan but that is going to be ok. And yeah, no excuse for how long they made me wait for the results and she didn't even say anything about that.

I'm really glad that you scheduled a appt with a RE. They will check everything and are up on the latest treatment that regular ob/gyne's are not.

hi

Yes, I am ready for some answers! A friend had a good suggestion which I am going to try to take. She pointed out that I knew I had some kind of hormone issue even before we started ttc. and her suggestion was maybe to look at it right now as just trying to find out what went wrong in my body and why my hormones are low and why they cannot get progesterone to stay in my body and to try to shift my focus for a while off when can i have a baby and just to first try to fix this. So I am going to try to do that. Probably easier said than done...but i'm glad i made the RE appointment. At least its something to give me some hope. Thanks girls!

has she considered using PIO for you as the suppositories and pills are not working?

I hope that you do get some answers and that the quest to fix the problems will lead to your BFP soon.

continued prayers and lots of

hi

Is PIO the injections? That hasn't been mentioned yet although i am talking to the dr next week about all this so we'll see. Maybe the RE will suggest it when i go. Its weird because my doc had said some people don't absorb the oral meds (rare) but they didn't seem to know of the supps not working ever with anyone. why am i the only weird one who they won't work for? I hope they are wrong and the bigger dose makes a difference but I have a feeling it won't. The weird thing is i'm pretty sure the prog is getting into my body but maybe just getting out too soon? when i took prometrium i felt almost drunk when i took it and totally dizzy and stuff so I know some of it was going in.....and on the supps i had to pee more, had bigger boobs, less spotting,....it just seemed like it was in there. It doesn't make much sense. Hopefully an answer will come my way soon....thanks for the good wishes.
