Lashton, Let me know how it works out for you with Dr. Hayes. That's who I see too. I go to the Dearborn office in Oakwood hospital. I don't really care for the clinic, but it's the closest and when I have to do b/w or u/s every day or every other day, I am happy not to drive too far.
My complaint is that you only see Dr. Hayes when she is trying to sell you the procedures. Did she use that "I'm not a used car salesman" on you? I have tried to talk to her for follow up by trying to make an appointment or on the phone and she is never available. They only let you talk to the nurses. The nurses do the IUIs too, not the doctors. My suggestion is to be on the ball and know what you want from them. I have had to go head to head with the nurses on a few things.

I live in Lambertville but see dr. Karnitis in Toledo only about 15 minutes from my house and over the line at the Toledo Hospital.

Hi All,
I am from Michigan too! I see Drs. Brinton and Maximovich in Bloomfield Hills. I like the doctors and their staff very much. They are always available to answer my questions, and have been very attentive to my case. Question...how do those progesterone shots go? I think I'm gearing up for one and am a little afraid. Thanks! ![]() |

Sorry I didn't have to take the shot I did the suspositories.

Oops!
Thanks for your resposes! Ooops! I made a mistake! I meant to write that I will be having a HCG shot, not progesterone. In the future, I'll be doing progesterone shots, so the input on those was helpful too... thanks.
Has anyone given themselves a HCG shot before? This is such a unknown journey for me, and no one I know has done this before. Rose ![]() |

Rose - I have done a couple HCG shots before, they're not too bad. My DH actually administers the shot while I lay on the bed. I can hardly feel the shot becauses the needle is so small and thin. Good luck!
I grew up in MI but live in IL now. It's nice down here and I like living close to my DH's family but I really miss my own family and friends and the beauty of MI!! My sister is also going through IF and would love to be closer to her while we struggle through this journey. |
