Question ovulation after trigger and injectibles

I have a question for you ladies. I did the trigger on the 17th which was cd13 for me. It is now cd17 for me and I'm having some cramping and tenderness in the ovary bladder area. Is this normal? Wouldn't I have already o'd since after the trigger it's supposed to happen 24-36 hours post hcg?
I'm so confused. Please help.

Hi Hope! You mean to say that after taking Menopur and the trigger shot your RE didn't do an IUI? That is the protocol when on injectibles. Hmm....Well, if you are just going the "au natural" way then I hope you and DH bd everyday as you are right the you O within 24-36 hours after the trigger shot. So, it looks like you are offically in your tww The twinges you are feeling are normal after trigger shot. Don't forget that the HCG from the shot will stay in your system up to 7 days so you will have some feelings of being pregnant.

Good luck. I have my for a BFP

Yea we are doing injectibles but no IUI because we really didn't need to. This our first round on these meds so I wasn't sure about the s/e, feelings... I know that they told me not to test for 18days after trigger. Hopefully this will work because dh is not game for doing IUI.

Thanks for the info and extra prayers!

IUI isn't always the protocol for doing injectibles. We didn't.

The twinges are normal. I had them all through my 2ww and even after my positive betas. Actually, I think I even had them through my first couple ultrasounds. 18 days past your trigger seems an awfully long time to have to wait. I first tested at 12 days past my trigger and had my first beta 2 days later. Good luck to you!

Persephone1881, after I read a few post I saw where people who did trigger didn't wait 18days. I think I will test around Sept. 1st. They didn't schedule a beta the doc just said to come back in two weeks to check the ovaries. I guess assuming for the next cycle. I don't know.
hopin4baby, I really didn't have any s/e directly after the trigger but that fourth day of bding really made me just crampy and sore. I stayed tender all day yesterday and was extremely tired. I went to bed at 7:30. The doc was really vague about how many. I heard him say I had one really really good one on the right with some other smaller ones and I had a really really good one on the left. So he wanted me to trigger that very night. I would love to have twins. At first I was so scared about the multiple issue on injectibles but have since calm those fears and actually would welcome the fact with an open heart.
BTW I'm really sorry to hear about your babies. You're in my prayers.

Ok another quesiton, did you ladies also have to pee a lot after trigger. I'm like extremely tired and I got up at least 4 times last night to pee, then ended up getting a charlie horse in my leg... OUCH!!!
Thanks again for all the input. It's such a vast and tough journey.

I've heard that many women had pregnancy-like symptoms after the trigger since the trigger is HCG which is what causes a lot of the symptoms in early pregnancy. I didn't have any though. Good luck!

Some clinics won't bring you in for a beta unless you get a positive hpt. Mine always told me that I should come in if I hadn't gotten my period by a certain date and didn't say anything about testing at home.

My doctor gives me a date that if I haven't started my period by I should take an HPT, and if it is positive to come in for a blood test. You may want to call them and find out what they want you to do if you get a positive on the HPT.

How long does the hcg stay in your system from the trigger? I'm asking because this past Sat. I poas just to see... and it was -. This past Sat. was cd 19 for me. I had the trigger on cd13. shouldn't have been + since I has the trigger 6 days ago etc... from that day?
