Hi everyone. I started my injectables this month and just got back from my RE with my follicle sizes. I'm kinda disappointed because I only had one that was good measuring 21. But I guess one is better than none. On my right ovary I had 8 follies but the biggest was only 5 so my RE said they weren't good for much. I have to take my trigger shot today and BD tomorrow and Wed. Then I start prometrium 200mg on Thurs. Then D-day comes I take my HPT on 9/7/08 hoping for a !!!!!
I'm a little nervous and hoping that I do everything correctly so I can bring a miracle into this world. Anyone that has any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi there, I just finished my first full injectible cycle and I also responded poorly. I think they gave me the lowest dose because of my age(23). It says your 25, so It makes me wonder if thats what they did to you. Drs are so scared of over stiming that they low ball us youngsters. I know it sucks but if this cycle doesnt work, you have a strong arguement for more meds. Also, how many follies did you have on clomid

I am also considered one of the "youngsters". What my doctor did was start me at the lowest dose(75) then I went for an US and Estrogen level every 4 days. Each visit if nothing was happening they upped my dose. It took 28 days and 6 different doses, but they finally found the right one. Then the next cycle I was able to start from the beginning at the dose that worked and it was much quicker.

If this cycle doesn't work out for you and they kepp trying to use the same method agian knowing it isn't going to work you may want to think about looking into another doctor.

Yeah! I am one of those youngsters too. Same protocall. 75 iu and weeks later he upped it to 100 and then I had 7 follies. This cycle he started me back at 75iu bc when i went in after arrived, i already had a 15 and a 14 brewing. I hope this is good news!! I wish the best of luck to all the youngsters!! We will get there!

Check out the BFP staus page under IUI and you'll see that a lot of ladies got their BFP's with only one nice follie, look at a girls named JenniB who just got her BFP with one! So don't give up yet, it took me 9 months with the RE before I got my BFP and I thought it would never happen!

Thanks so much! It's so nice to talk to people and know that there are people going through the same things that I am. When I did clomid it with with my regular gyne. He never measured them but if I remember correctly their was only one or two usually. If this cycle doesn't work I'll definately try for a bigger dose. Thanks so much ladies!!!
