Hi Ladies,
I am new to the injectibles, so I am a little scared of the things I have read. I started 150iu last night and will be on this dose for 5 days before going back to the doctor. Can anyone give me an idea of when I may start to see side effects (if I have any).

i can't remember the exact timeline i had for side effects and everyone is different in that...but i did not have too many if that makes you feel better...i was started on the 150 dose but went in after 2 days of that dose for a blood draw and this being your first time on the stims they must have a good reason to wait 5 days ...main side effects were bloating ..kinda gas like make sure you have some comfy pants that aren't too tight...if your estrogen gets pretty high you may also have some discomfort to your nipples sensitivity maybe...but that was when my estrogen shot too high from the stims and my cycle was canceled...are you doing the stims for ivf or an iui cycle...good luck to you...don't worry too much..is not too bad

I would not really start feeling bloated from the injections until the day before trigger and that was with 14 follies. That was my only side effect.

Well the shot itself was a piece of cake, didn't bother me at all. i was worried it wold hurt at injection site, but it was fine. We are doing this for IUI and if it takes YAY for us but if not we will go to IVF next cycle.
I have the nipple discomfort with my regular cycle, so I guess I will look for that with this treatment. I was just concerned since some have bad headaches with the med and I already have bad migraines, so just a little concerned, but hopefull all will go well. I think i am too excited to worry too much about side effects

I was on 50iu and then 75iu of Follistim for two weeks total. The only side effects I had were bloating. Much easier than Clomid.

Ok I am on day 7 of the follistim and not really having any side effects other than a little bloating. Had kind of a mood swing today but I think that is the result of the information I recieved after the ultrasound yesterday. Seems I only have one follicle that is a good size, but it is in the ovary that has the partially blocked tube. I go for another one in the morning so maybe the other ovary has at least one that is a good size.
