starting injections

I may have to start injections this month. I am so nervous, I am not a good needle person. Is it hard to give the injections to yourself. my husband is worse than me so there's no way he's going to inject me. were any of you the same before you started. Thanks

I thought I'd never be able to do it, but the sub-q injections aren't bad at all. I've done three hcg triggers and am now on my third day of my first follistim cycle. The needles are tiny and don't hurt at all. Just take a deep breath and do it quickly the first time. I sat there looking at the needle and my skin for about five minutes the first time I did it, and once I finally did, I wondered why I was so nervous. After the first one you'll realize it isn't so bad and will be able to do it no problem! Good Luck!

Hi, I was very nervous before starting injections. But to be totally honest, it's not that bad. It sounds worse than it is. If you're doing Follistim or Gonal-f the needles are very small and sometimes you can barely feel it. THe idea of it is the hardest but you can do it. You really can. Good luck

I gave myself 3 shots a day for 8 days then 4 shots per day for 4 days. I guess you get used to it but I was VERY happy when I was finished! I pinched my skin and went in at a side angle. This hurt a little less. GOOD LUCK!

Hi there. I started a thread earlier this year with the same concerns. I hate needles. I can't look when they do blood tests or when I had the flu shot. Hubby is worse. But I managed to do those injections! Hubby was there helping me each step of the way and setting everything up for me. We watched the video and did it! And it was totally worth it.
