multiples and injectibles

Does anyone happen to know if one type of injectible is more likely to result in conceiving multiples?

Just wondering since I was going through the posts and noticed a higher rates of twins on this board than on the Clomid support board.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

All injectables increase the risk of multiples, not just a certain brand. This is because they typically produce more follicles than Clomid so it's more likely that there could be multiple fertilized eggs. Clomid also has a risk but it is only slightly increased.

Everyone is different but I know for me, i never had more than 2 follicles on clomid, but on injectables with IUI- it was more like 5/6.

Good luck!

I'm on my first round of Follistim and the RE said that the % for multiples rose from 5-6% for twins on Clomid to 20% for twins with the Follistim. I think that it's probably around the same for Gonal-F, but I don't know about the other stuff.
