is there anything we can do!!!

i've been contemplating this thought for quite a while now. here me out ... when i first started here gemmabean (julie) requested that we send a letter to our senator or governor or whomever to make them push to pass a law that mandates insurance to cover IF or IVF, i can't remember which, but i think all that has to do w/IF. ok, so i did that twice and nothing has happened. is there anything else we ALL could possibly do to have the country hear our cry. i mean IF may be kept on the 'down low' and many see it as an option to have a child. UH NO! you're just saying that cuz your fertile and you dont have that problem.

come on girls is there anything we can do together to have our voice heard ... ANYTHING! should i write a letter to Oprah and get her help. i dont know it just frustrates me that we have a condition here and insurances just choose to ignore it. UGH! just drives me bonkers.

what do you girls think?

i also have thought about writing a letter to oprah or doctor phil....see if we can get something done in this matter..my issue is this...we live in a state that mandates coverage...but if the employer is self insured they dont have to cover it..and they dont have to cover ivf or iui...somethng needs to be done about this!!! we are suffering from something that we cant control just as others suffer from things they cant control...why are we left in the dark...to suffer!!!!

Sofia

I too have contacted my senator. With us (you, Julie and me) in VA we need to find the representative that tried two years ago to get it mandated here in VA but of course it was rejected. I had the site with the bill saved but now thats its dead it doesn't appear or re-direct me.

It is a shame, why are we (meaning all of us struggling with IF issues) the ones who seem to be ignored?
