New to the site

Hi Ladies,

My name is Jessica and this is my first time visting this site . My DH and I have been TTC for the past 3 years. I started on clomid for about 5 months with no success. I took a break for a year and we just decided to try again. I began seeing a specialist in infertitly in early April 08. He diagnosed me with PCOS :-( My DH does not have any problems at all :-)

I have a very irregular period so I had to take Provers for 10 days. I was then instructed to start Gonal-F injections. I started at a very low dosage of 37.5(7days) and them moved to 75(5 days) then 112 for 4 days. I was able to get 3 follicles.

I had my first IUI on Saturday 7/5. DH had 134 kmillion sperm count,80% motility.I go back on 7/21 for the test.

I find myself constanly thinking about this. I pray that it has worked. I am glad I came across this site. I hope speaking with everyone helps get through these long days.

~Jessica~

Hi Jessica, welcome to the site!
.
Yes, it is a horrible 2 weeks, we all can relate. Just try to keep active and keep your mind off things. (easier said than done).
All the best to you.

Hi ladies, I have been following along, but haven't posted here yet. I go in on Thursday for an ultrasound and then we'll see if I'm ready for an IUI. It will be my first one, any advice?

GL Stacey! It doesn't hurt one bit. It kind of feels like a pap in that they insert a speculum but they also insert a catheter into the uterus. It literally takes a minute.

And all the best to you ladymcneill!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am thankful that there are people I can talk to that understand what I am going through. Even though people say they understand, it takes going through the process to know how much of an emotional roller coaster this truly is.

staceyj1-I was extremley anxious and nervous when I went in for my IUI. It was so fast and painless, I didn't feel a thing. GL to you! Let us know how it goes.

The only feeling I have since my IUI is almost like a tightness feeling right below my belly button. Its not a cramp feeling but it comes and goes. Not sure what it means.

Hope everyone has a nice day! Stay positive. I am praying we all have a

Thanks for the welcome. I'm really not nervous, I've read a lot about what to expect but it's always nice to hear it from actual people too. We'll see what tomorrow brings!!

Jessica: Good luck to you!!!!

LadyMcNeil: Good luck to you!!

I am joining in as I will have my IUI on Friday, the 11th. I am nervous but excited because we have so many follicles. You can see my stats in my siggie. I am way too involved in my cycles for my own good and this is the second cycle I have tried to aly low and not be over controlling with and it has helped my stress level! I have 13 follies... yes, 13. Only 3-5 should release, which is great! Good luck all!!!
