Wow

I have read alot of the stories on here and look at alot of signitures and feel so bad that some of you have to keep going. I wish that God would give you a . However by looking at all the signitures it does not give me much hope for my 1st IUI. I know we will have a better chance with an IUI but I do not think so after looking at all the IUI stories. I will be trying to get my DH do the almond thing though. I am really wondering if this will be another waste of money.

I know what you mean... Try to remember though that usually women who find their way to this site have already been through a lot of treatments, so I don't think you can draw any conclusions about IUI success rates from this small sample. Unfortunately, we're among the ladies who have the hardest time conceiving, but fortunately there are tons of women for whom an IUI works the very first time (so they never need this kind of support group)... My .02 cents. Good luck to you!

Hey there!

I agree...we are all a small sample. If you look at the BFP sticky at the top, you can read everyone's story that got their BFP. This was helpful...

Not to say it can't happen at first shot but you are right, its not a given. It helps me to think about it this way...the first month is a trial and error while my dr figures out my body and tries to get the meds in line with what my body is doing.

The 2nd time can be a little more of that but better at it. And hopefully 3rd times the charm. If not, we move on to IVF (at least in our case.) Plus, they say the more you do, the better the probability of success as opposed to the rate for each individual cycle.

So, try to think positive, we are all in the same boat and here for any support you need!!

Good luck!

Thank you ladies. I am just really nervous. I also know that we are very luck because my insurance covers most of the IUI. We have just one income because I went back to school and so we have very limited resources. If this one does not work I will have to wait till sept to attempt the next one and if that one doesnt work it wont be untill june of next year because DH will have to leave for that long.
