Waiting for AF

My last IUI was in April...AF showed up while I was in Vegas, about 2500 miles away from the RE (she wasn't supposed to come until after my vacation ended, but showed up about 4 days early - I guess she missed me).

So by the time I got back home, it was too late to start the shots and I thought it would be a good idea to take the month of May off anyway since I had just gone through 2 failed IUI's. Insurance only pays for 3, so this is my last shot (not sure if they cover IVF or not - I have to have my insurance lady at the RE's office gets the details on that)

Anyway, here I am on July 4th still waiting for AF to show her face again. Before IF treatments, she would set up camp for a year at a time, and now nada. I'm bored waiting for her - I feel like I can actually FEEL myself getting older every day.

What I would give to have 5 childbearing years with a body that worked the way it was supposed to. Sometimes I hate that I belong to a group like this - I hate that all of us do.

I don't mean to be so negative, I just had a bad experience with a company that "guaranteed" IVF to work or you get your money back. I filled out the form online and they called me. I was excited because I thought, hey, something that might actually work and not cost me a fortune for nothing. Basically they do a certain number of rounds of IVF (6 I think) and if they don't result in a pregnancy, you get 70% of your money back. (If you have a miscarriage, that counts as working). The clincher is that you have to pay all up front...a mere $28,000. Don't worry, if you don't have cash, they take credit cards.....I know these treatments are expensive, but I hate feeling like someone is just trying to make a buck off of my broken body.

How frustrating! Has your Dr thought of prescribing something to start AF?

I know that 30g is a lot of money but for 6 cycles that is a very good deal, many women pay 20 for just one.

Hope it shows up soon.

To be fair to my Dr I haven't called to make another appt to get AF started - at the end of May I just figured she'd show up in the next few weeks. DH and I decided that we'd give her until the end of this month and if not, that I'd go back and try to get things started again with drugs.
