I'm on the first week of my 2ww and wondering if anyone else is on a hormonal rollacoaster. I'm very easily agitated and have very little patience. I find myself being curt and short with my friends and hubby. I don't think this holiday weekend helped with everyone around me partying and drinking. At times all I want to do is cry! This is driving my nuts. I was on a high dose of Gonal-F (300iu) and currently taking the progesterone suppositories.

If anyone is on the same ride, please commiserate...

Hi! This is my first post on this forum. But I had to reply because I feel like I can so relate. I'm so edgy & irritable with my hubby & 9 yr old daughter. Then, I get so sad & depressed because I feel bad that I'm that way with them. Geez, can you imagine my 2ww!!!!!!
My egg retrieval is coming up, this Wednesday! I can't take my mind off of it. It's all I think about. I have so many emotions right now!!! Scared, anxious, happy, worried, etc..
I also had to reply to your post because I noticed your infertility is due to your hubbies vasectomy reversal. My DH & I are in the same situation, except when my DH had his SA it was zero. That's why we are doing ICSI.

Hello there. Thanks for replying to my post. I was a mess this weekend but I'm feeling much better today. I was glad to hear from someone else who is dealing with the Vas reversal. We had a sucsessful reversal done in May of 06 and had been trying naturally (without ) until Feb of this year. We thought we would try IUI (w/clomid) once before moving onto IVF due to low sperm count. Always below 8 million and with white blood cells. That first iui we did get our but the betas were low and then dropping until we m/c at 7 weeks (only a gest sac, no fetus). The weird thing is that I had what I thought was AF and didn't even know I was prego until a week before our m/c. Didn't even bother with a HPT cuz the bleeding/timing/symptoms were excactly like a period. So I was still in the shock phase of "I can't believe we are " when the dream ended. But since his swimmers did managed to do there job we thought perhaps it was a sign to try iui one more time. And now we are in our 2ww. If this isn't the time, then we will move onto ivf with icsi. We had already met with our ivf RN and financial person at the clinic when the first iui didn't work. So we will see what happens.....
How long had your husband had his vasectomy? And when are you doing your ICSI? My hubbies was about 10 years, so we where very thankful that he had swimmer after the reversal.

Hi ladeebugg!!! My DH had his vasectomy 15 years ago. His VR was in 2005 just like your husbands. He had his VR done by the VA(military) & he always felt that it wasn't done properly. At the beginning of this year he had a SA and sperm count was zero.

When he went to see his urologist, they told him they could do another VR on him but that there would probably alot of scar tissue in there. Either way scar tissue or unproper VR, there is still blockage.

My ER is tomorrow @ 8:00 am with ICSI. My DH's urologist will be there to perform TESE on him. I'm so nervous yet excited.

My fertility clinic does the HCG test on the 17 day after the first IUI. I will have my blood work done on the 15th, a day early due to my work schedule. I don't know that I will be able to hold out on a HPT until then. AF is due the end of the week. However, I will be having the HCG regardless of AF because of our surprise with the last iui.
