Hi ladies, I'm new to the IUI board. H just got my B2B IUI's on 7/4 and 7/5. Now in the dreadfull two week wait. I have had two IVF cycles done with first one ending up in a chemical pregnancy and the second one was just unseccessfull. This is a great site and a lot of people have some great insite. I thought I would join you all and share the journey with you, It make it alot easier to bear. Thinking positive and praying this time will be my turn too. seending positive vibes to all of you.

I go in on Saturday for my first IUI. I have to give myself my first injection of HCG tonight. My hubby is gone at guards, so I have to do this one myself. I'm not afraid of needles, but just doing it for the first time without someone there un-nerves me a bit. Hopefully everything will work out well.

staceyj1- It will be ok. I was scared to. My docor kept tellingme how the needle is alot bigger than the one I was used to. I just made sure I numbed the area with ice for 5 minutes, then thought this is the last shot I would have to give myself.

Raji! I am new here also. I like knowing there is someone to talk to that knows what I am going through. Plus it helps with this dreaded 2ww.

This is my first post even though I have been following for months.

I had IUI#4 on 7/7, first with Gonal-F. At last U/S on 7/6, I had 2 mature follies on left and 4 mature on right. I was so excited, I thought I would get a guaranteed at the end of the 2ww, until the IUI and my DH #'s were so low, post-wash 1.7 million and 60% motility. Now my chances are so low. I am trying not to loose hope and praying for a miracle. And as Raji said, sharing the journey with you, makes it easier to bear. Praying that everyone get a !

Also has everyone's IUI been almost 36 hours after trigger? This new RE and last RE keep doing IUI's no later than 24 hours after trigger and I know I am ovulating at around 36 hours. So frustrating , since I keep reading that when IUI is used bc of male factor, that it should be done within 6 hrs of ovulation. We did BD the day of IUI and the day after .

I do not kno how many follies, as I was just told to do the clomid and then start testing OPK on CD13 and when I had a + to call for the IUI.........THey did nto do any other testing before the IUI.....is that normal? I have been reading on here how almost all have had some sort of test done to see how many follies, etc......

I have my IUI tomorrow morning. I have horrible cramping tonight. I would guess I am ovulating right now... which is just fine for timing. I just can't believe this pain... that is what 12 follicles will do to ya I guess.

12 Follicles? I can only imagine the pain. So are you doing an IUI with 12 follicles? That sounds more like IVF to me....

Stacey- How did your HCG shot go? Last month I had to give it to myself also and it made me anxious but the shot itself was easy as pie, didn't even hurt. I hope it went that well for you.

All went well this morning! 44 million spermies in our donor. I an not happy with those number for a donor, but that is ok. The embryologist came in to talk to me and ensure me they were the highest of quality. So, ok. (Please no one say "It only takes one") I am bloated and crampy and feel crappy. I am emotional as all heck. I just want to cry, but can't since I am at work. There is no reason for any of this. I talked to the nurse for 15 minutes after IUI and she said it could just be all the hormones, this is the most we have pumped in my system at once. Anyways, like I said, I am at work, nothing I can do about this at this time. I do wish I could go home and just mildew.

Hey ToddsGirl! I am on the same boat as you. I am going in to get the IUI sat morning our dr is about 3 hours away and have to leave about 3:30am,Yikes! But I am cramping and uncomfortable too! I had about 16 follies , So hopefullly the odds are good for the both of us! Ill keep a positive mind for you, myself, and all the other ladies?

Well my shot went ok, I had a friend come over and give it to me, I just couldn't do it. I was so nervous that I almost blacked out afterward...got tunnel vision and the cold sweats. I felt really stupid because needles NEVER affect me. It just must have been the nerves and the fact that my hubby was gone, and probably because my friend was giving it to me. Today my thigh is so sore I can barely walk. I now know why newborns cry so much after a shot in the thigh!! Hopefully it will feel better by tomorrow...I don't want to walk to the dr's looking like a freak!!!

Hi ladies I am glad to hear some of you have a really good follie count. I did evetually developed on on my right. I am pretty sure I Oed within a couple of hours of the IUI. So here is to hoping and praying that we all get . I am so nervous though. I watch the days go by and know when I want to test and know when I should. If I knew I could get a positive tomorrow I would take the test. I know that isnt possible. I want to test on day 28 but I know that is only 11 days after the IUI and I know I really should wait untill day 30. Now lets hope I dont get the best of my self and test to early.
