Mima - I think that they told you to do your shot tonight instead of the morning b/c it allows more time for the follies to grow. Good luck!

I know that I am going to go crazy during the 2ww. I am so the same as you. I google everything anytime I have a symptom or question, etc. LOL. I really hope this works for us, and everyone else on the boards.

Question - My doctor wants me to have another u/s tomorrow. This won't interfere with the IUI yesterday. I mean if the egg and sperm have met or are meeting, the ultrasound wand won't disrupt that will it?

Hi Everyone,

I had my IUI this morning. It went well. 80 million with 90% motility in terms of "specimen" -- that was our best ever and we were excited.

CM looked good or so said the RE. So the timing hopefully was right.

Looking forward to the 2ww. It unusual for me! I don't know how long it will last, but I am going to ride the happy wave for now.

Sending you my best wishes for your IUI tomorrow, Ronda!!!

hey girls,

I had the IUI's on the 15th and 16th..Iwas in SO much pain Weds - they said it was because I had so many follies - which kinda scared me...

Thursday, I felt better and now I'm doing the prometrium (inserted vaginally - yack) twice a day.

Next Monday, I go for a U/S to see the progression of the follies and determine if I have to do another shot (which kinda confuses me because we did the IUI's this week)

Good Luck to everyone! I'm trying to over do it but with a 3 1/2 year old now, it's hard!

I am pretty sure the sperm and egg meet in the tubes and then the little one heads down to the uterus. So, if that is the case, an u/s won't disrupt that.

I keep reading about how you all have more than one follicle. Is this because you have taken clomid??? I think I have only seen one follicle on the u/s that I have had. Wondering why my dr isnt suggesting clomid or anything to produce more to increase our chances?/

Still doing the 2ww

I had my second of two IUIs this morning. The sperm sample was definitely not the best, but my doctor says that day two IUIs usually have worse numbers. Only 10 million swimmers and 55% motility. He recommended that we also tonight or tomorrow morning, but I am not sure that my husband has much left in him. I almost did not think that he would be able to give a sample this morning. Thank goodness he pulled one out for TeamH.

My u/s today showed that I was O'ing and that one of my other follies was probably about to pop. I hope that the sperm last long enough to connect with my eggs. I really hope this works!! Keeping my for myself and everyone else.

bbz - Are you seeing a RE or just your ob/gyn? You may want to see a RE if you have been ttc for a year w/o success. I don't O naturally w/o Clomid, so that is why I am on it. But my sister O'd naturally and was still put on Clomid b/c she had not been able to conceive for one year.

I have been seeing an RE since January. I have a histroy of endometriosis since I was 15 have had 5 surgeries. Also have a prolactinoma. So my ob wanted me to see a specialist. We did our first IUI in Jan and got pregnant. I miscarried at the end of Feb. We did our 2nd IUI in June and it did not take. We just did the 3rd this week on Tues. I do O naturally and had follicle of about 18 a week ago. I went home with O tests and did not see anything. So did HCG shot Sunday and IUI Tues. Now is the 2ww and I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. I wish I could find out NOW~! Thank you for your input. It really is nice to know there others out there.

Hello all. I have been lurking for a while and am just coming out of the wood works! I'm having my first IUI tomorrow. Today is cd14 and I had 3 follicles on the right, 20 19 16 and one on the left 16. I go to a fertility clinic and have been there everyday this week. This month I was on 150mg of clomid from day 3-7. Oh, lets not start talking about the hotflashes! I was at work and I felt like ripping my clothes off. LOL
Anyways, today my doc said that My estrogen (E2)dropped a bit and she was a bit concerned and wanted to get me to ovulate ASAP as she was concerned about the egg quality. Trust me, that did not make me happy! Anyways, I got the HCG shot and my DH is going tomorrow morning to drop off his sample. I'm a bit nervous and I don't want to get my hopes up, so I am taking it one day at a time. We know the issue is with me, I have a history of Endo. and fibroids, which I had surgery to remove this passed March and now, we are trying again to see if the surgery helped out situation. I am for everyone and I hope this is the month that turns out to be a viable pregnancy!!! Good luck to all!

Hi all -

Hope everyone's doing well in their 2WW's and GL to those going for their IUI's.

I'm officially in the 2WW myself. I had my first IUI ever this morning. My DH's #'s were 26 million with a speed of 4.0 (I'm not sure what that means). The dr. said the goal is 10 million with a speed of at least 3.5 so, we're better than the goal which he said is definitely a good thing.

On Wednsday, I only had one follie at 17mm. They didn't do another u/s on me so I don't know how much it had grown or if there were any more (which I doubt), so I'm just hoping everything was okay with the one.

I asked the dr. why I wouldn't see a postive opk if I did the trigger shot on wed. They said not to worry about that and that they'd have a better answer once they "got in there". lol

So, she said my CM was perfect and my cervix was the right thickness/size (I can't remember which word she actually used).

I had a terrible headache, gas, and cramping afterwards (sorry about the TMI). But when I got home, I took an hour long nap and have been fine the rest of the day.

Whew, I'm glad that's over. It really wasn't as bad as I was thinking it would be though.

I'm exhausted, guess I should hit the hay. Can't wait to hear how everyone's doing.

Talk to you soon,
Ronda

Good afternoon everyone,

Officially in the 2ww. Had my IUI this morning. We were going to do b2b IUI's but the RE is fairly certain I already O'd or am in the process. So we are supposed to . This was the easiest IUI yet, (I have had some painful difficult ones), NO PITCHFORK in my cervix today either. . This is the 4th cycle for us and am really hoping it works. RE said that if it doesn't we need to take a month off and let my ovaries have a rest. And honestly after being on clomid for so many months and having all these IUI's and doctors appointments I can use a month off.

Mima- How did your IUI go today. We seem to be on the exact same cycles cuz 2 months ago we were on the same cycle (or close) also.

Well here's some prayers for all of us and our this month.

I think I'm gonna jump the gun and join this thread...hopefully I'm not jinxing myself!

Doc called this afternoon and told me to take one more shot of Follistim (only 100IU this time, I've been doing 200), and come in tomorrow morning for an ultrasound. Hopefully I will get my trigger tomorrow and the IUI Monday afternoon.

This has got to be it, it has to be!! The tentative plans have been made for me to fly out and get my niece in a few weeks and keep her till my sister is well. She is battling an addiction right now, but the child (3 years old) should not suffer. I am so excited to have her!! But it would be a lot easier if I could get pregnant already and not have this to deal with too!

Ok, so let's all git r done this month!!!
