First week of the 2ww down, and it hasn't been too bad, but I can definitely tell I'm getting a lot more nervous now as the test day approaches. For those of you who have had IUIs before, did AF ever come early, before you were supposed to test? Since this is my first IUI, I don't know what to expect, and I keep waiting for a sign or some sort of symptom that will tell me if I'm pregnant or not. Ugh, this wait is really starting to weigh on me. I usually spot 4-5 days before AF arrives, so I'm wondering if that will happen this cycle as well. Does anyone have any experience with that? Did your cycle feel like a normal cycle? I'm kinda wishing I had all sorts of symptoms to Google ;-)

I know the odds aren't that high (1st IUI, only one follicle), but I'm still hoping like crazy for a this month, especially since, although low, these are the best odds we've had since we started TTC.

Good luck to everyone, let me know how you're doing with the wait!

Spaitts - Sorry I don't have any answers for you. I am on my 2ww and this is also my first IUI. I know the two weeks are going to drag by considering it felt like months before I stared the Clomid and had my IUIs. I have no symptoms so far, but I think that is to be expected considering I had my last IUI on Friday.

I am trying to stay positive too, but a bit of pessimism seems to come over me at times b/c to actually get a seems surreal.

Mima - How did your IUIs go?

TeamH -- You're so right; a feels utterly surreal to me right now. Despite having quite a vivid imagination, I can't for the life of me imagine what it will be like to one day (hopefuly soon!) see those two lines. That's why this board has been so great these last few weeks, cuz here you can get some encouragement that it CAN happen, even when it doesn't feel like it ever will....

Spaitts - I read the positive BFP stories so that I could see that other people do get pregnant after their first or second IUI.

I guess the one good thing is that I really don't have that much external pressure to get pregnant. We have been married for 8 years so I think that everyone just assumes we are not going to have children. I can't wait to tell people that we are, and to actually buy baby clothes not for friends or family, but for us. I can't tell you how many baby shower presents I have purchased for others.

TeamH -- Oh, you're lucky you don't have a lot of external pressure, I feel like people won't shut up about it. Only a few people know of our troubles to conceive, so I constantly get asked about it or people will hint like crazy - I usually don't take the bait. DH only told his parents last month, so hopefully now his mother will stop telling us about all her friends who are going to be grandmothers. (on second thought, she's not that sensitive, so she might just keep going!) The comment I hate the most is "Oh, your parents are SO ready to become grandparents!", like we're deliberately not having children to hurt them or rob them of some right. Ugh, it makes me SO angry when people say things like that.

Yeah, buying baby gifts are hard; one of my best friends just had a baby in April, and that has been tough. She knows what I'm going through, and she herself has had two m/c so she understands it more than other people, but it's still hard. Hopefully we'll get our this month and can go on a shopping spree ;-)

I have an older sister that has three children, so that has taken the pressure off of me. People used to ask me all the time, but now they just assume we don't want any. I think they got sick and tired of asking. My in-laws are very respectful too. My husband told them what we are going through, but they really don't ask too many questions about it, just whether I am doing ok.

My best friend is also giving birth to her second son any day now. I am really happy for her, but we started trying to conceive around the same time and as you can see, with much different results. It's hard not to have some jealously even though you are so happy for them.

I really feel like it will happen for me and for everyone else. It is just more difficult for some than others. My doctor told me that he has had 100% success rate for women like me who are under 39 years of age after 3 IVFs. So if I have to go to IVF, I know it will happen. I just hope that I don't have to go there.

We have had this stuffed animal that we bought at FAO Schwartz Baby in NY in 2002. I was going to give it as a present, but it is so soft and awesome that I just couldn't part with it. It has been sitting in my closet waiting for us to have a baby. I can't wait to actually bring it out.

Hello, just wondering how everyone is doing? I was thinking we should put together a list of everyone in this thread, IUI dates and testing dates. I'll try to go through but if everyone wants to just put a reminder out there that would be great too. Don't want to miss anyone.

for lots of in this thread!!! (And all the other threads!!)

Sammylena - Thanks for the suggestion. Not sure where everyone is anymore.

I had my IUIs on the 17th and 18th. Supposed to POAS July 31.

I am feeling ok. Sort of crampy but I think that is from the progesterone suppositories that I am taking. I really don't feel any different except for large and bloated. My nipples were sore after I O'd, but that seems to be going away.

This 2ww is going to be very hard. As much as I want to be pregnant, it is going to be so strange to actually get a positive. I don't think I really allow myself to go there b/c I don't want to be disappointed. At the same time, I know you have to stay positive. I know it will happen for me someday soon, and for you too.

I had my IUI on 7/14 and am supposed to POAS 7/28. Have no symptoms at all, not sure if that is good or bad.....

The wait is definitely starting to get to me, but I'm trying to stay positive and not freak out too much. It is what it is, and there is nothing more I can do this cycle than just hope and pray. And there's always next cycle, right?!

Hi all, I'm still waiting. Of course. I had my 1st IUI on Saturday after my HCG shot on Friday. Did my ultrasound on Sunday the 20th and they said follicles ruptured and then gave me my second IUI. I am 3dpo and my Beta test is Aug 3rd. Nothing really going on except for some cramping, which I always get after clomid and during progesterone supp. What I did find (tmi I'm sure) is I have ALOT of CM this time around.
Anyways, hoping everyone is hanging in there and for us all!
