I am new here, I am starting AI tomorrow, My last period was July 19, i am a 30 day cycle, i believe i ovulate either sat, or Monday, I was going to AI WED-Sunday, and hope that is enough.. my friend who lives in Cali is sending it frozen, so i am hoping this works, anyone have any luck???

Women’s cycles are all very different even if they are the same number of days. Is your Dr monitoring you? Are you using OPK’S? With a 30 day cycle it is possible you have ovulated already.

I would invest in ovulation monitor or kit so you know for sure. Good luck in your journey and keep us posted!

Snowbrdbella- Good luck w your IUI.

I agree with Amy, you should at the very least be using an OPK. Have you used one before? they aren't accurate for everyone. Many of us also use ultrasounds to monitor our follie size and may have triggger shots to make sure you're Oing when we have the IUI.

Are you using an RE or an ObGyn? Have youh been on any ovarian stimulants? That can also affect when youh O. In general I believe that you O 14 days before the start of your NEXT cycle (not 14 days after your last if you're not on a 28 days cycle).

Hey everyone

I have the first reponse, and the clear and easy moniter and the digital, been testing since day 5 of my cycle, have not had the Peak on any of those yet, including my easy moniter..

I do not have insurance for the fertility doctor... so i'm just doing it by myself, my primary did say that because i am so young, and my cervix is not tilted or anything.. that i have a good chance, i am just nervous, because i do have a 8 year old, but that was a long time ago, and i am single now, but i am wanting a baby for 2 years now, I had gastric bypass 3 years ago lost 150, and waited for the weight loss to get pregnant...

I do have 30 day cycle, when i track it on the caluator it says either the 2nd or the 4th, so my friend bought 6 kits, which trust me was not cheap, he lives in california i have known him for 7 years, he is going to ship starting today, so i would start tomorrow, its just i do not want to waste sperm... know what i mean..

Was also looking into the same day air so when i do get the peak we can do that also, i am just so nervous and excited, and i am praying i get this baby.. would ne my miracle!

One more question..

After you DO AI.. And lay for 30 or more minutes is it normal to have some come out afterwards, like using the bathroom hour and a half later wont hurt right?
