Hey Everyone,

I am starting my 2nd IUI attempt this month and am looking for support, stories, etc. I don't have any friends who have gone through infertility so that has made it hard on me since I don't really have anyone I can talk to about how I am feeling.

My husband and I have been trying for over a year now and so far no luck. I had my first IUI on 7/12/08. Took clomid 100mg, estrace and ovidrel but my lining was not thick enough.

Now I am taken 40 mg of tamoxifen and estrace. Has anyone ever taken tamoxifen? If so, what was your experience with it?

I went through something similar. The first round of Clomid I had 6 follicles but thing lining and cancelled my IUI. The next IUI we cut those dose of Clomid in half and only had I follicle but thin lining and had to use Estrace.

I had a good response to Tamoxifen and had a good lining but my problem was that I never got to the HCG trigger and ovulated by day 7 or 8 before the scheduled IUI date. Tamoxifen was much easier for me on the side effects and everything looked great with 2 good follices if my timing would have been better. It had nothing to do with Tamoxifen eventually we realized I had to take something to keep from ovulating until my eggs actually matured.

thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. Hopefully my lining will be thicker this month. I go to the doc on Friday so we will see what he has to say.
