Hey all! I am currently 21dpo, IUI and have a that we are very excited about. Had my leves checked today and my beta is 524, which is good. We go back Friday to see if the levels went up.

Question is I have a ton of cramping and pain on my side. I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I have gone from cramping on my side, to my groin area and now I feel like I have siatic pain because it is going down my butt! It is bad enough that if I was not prego I would def be dowing some advil! What do you guys think?

Much of what you just said I have had with both of my pregnancies. I couldn't believe how much I cramped and had shooting back pains! Tylenol is safe to take but sometimes doesn't take the pain away to well. Congratulations!!!

I am 1 week away from testing after my 6th iui. My breasts have been hurting horribly for about a week so who knows??? I am still hopeful after 3 years of trying. Good luck!!!

My sister-in-law had a lot of cramping during her first 6weeks. She was really worried but she had a beautiful healthy baby girl and a very healthy pregnancy.

Thanks for your responses everyone -It has made me feel better - The cramping has gotten a little less but changes - It seems to be more in the evening and last night was more like siatic pain which I think I am a little early to be having! lol!
I think that I am just worried about it being stuck in my tube and wish that I could just get an u/s today!
But we will see! Next Beta is Friday so we will see what happens!! To be for a long time!

Yup, it is totally normal as long as the cramping isn't painful, uncomfortable is okay, but you shouldn't be in pain. It is just your uterus growing and stretching to accomdate your new little one.

As for the sciatica...I had the same problem but mine didn't start for a few more weeks. I saw a prenatal massage therepist at 12 weeks for the pain. She taught me a lot of fairly intense stretching exercises. Ask your DH to help you stretch your hamstrings. Although that's not the exact area that is the problem, by doing that you are also opening up the muscles and nerves that run down your lower back. Ask him to help you stretch your legs back toward your chest and back and off to the side (almost like he'll be holding your leg(s) during delivery). Don't force anything, of course, but applying some gentle pressure should relieve some of the discomfort. Also, though it is not an anti-inflammatory, don't be afraid to take Tylenol. It is completely safe and should, hopefully, relieve some pain. And of course, you can always call the nurse at your OB's office and see what they suggest.

Thanks! I will try the stretching. the cramping and pain is very wierd and seems to be happening more in the evening because I am fine most of the day at work but when I get home is when I get the pain, so bad that the only relief was lying down flat on my back for a while. which usually is not a comfie position for me! But I think I will try stretching every morning and before bed to see if that helps!
