I'm just curious....after you had your 2nd ultrasound, how soon afterward did they do the IUI?

I know a lot depends on the u/s but I was curious on average how quickly they do the trigger shot and IUI.

DH would like to give his boss a 'heads up' on needing off work and my 2nd u/s is this Sat. (8/16)- cd 12.

I told DH to tell his boss it may be Monday or Tuesday the following week that he may need off work....but we are also suppose to go out of town the following Sat. (the 23rd) and I was worried about it maybe falling on that day---although we would cancel our out of town plans for the IUI.

With my clomid cycles, I would go in for u/s & b/w and they would call me later that day and tell me when to trigger. Usually it was later that night or next night and IUI 36 hours later.

With this cycle (gonal-f), I had lots of big follies and a few in the 12 range they didn't want to bake any longer. They triggered me then and there (did not even wait for b/w to come back) and scheduled to IUI the next day.

Yes, I am on 100mg Clomid, estrace, and inject Menopur.

I had my b/w and 1st u/s on cd 3 and this Sat. I go in for my cd 12 (2nd u/s).

I have only been having 1 u/s around day 13, but my last IUI they thought my follies were too big, so this month I'm having my u/s on day 12. If the follies are right they will trigger then and there and they try to do the IUI exactly 24 hours later.

Hmm...thats a tough one. I would guess trigger on Sunday and IUI on Tuesday morning. I would tell him to tell his boss either Monday or Tuesday. I really do not see you having to cancel your plans next weekend. That's just my guess, I am not a doctor (but I play one on the internet )

That would be great if they could do the IUI on Sunday...DH and I wouldn't have to worry about missing work but if we do, that wouldn't be a big deal either.

Not sure if you have to drive to your appointment, but your husband may not need to take off work. My husband collects his sample at home and I drive it into the clinic myself and wait for an hour while it is processed. You can also drive home afterwards b/c there should be no discomfort.
