On Thurs. I had my first testing and had a follicle of 16 on my left and one on my right at 13. When I went in Sat morning they said I had ovulated because the 16mm was on missing and my progesterone was 4. I'm doing an IUI this morning, but isn't it too late? I ovulated sometime before Sat at 7am, so doing an IUI at 10:30am on Sun seems futile. Any thoughts? I feel like my doctor made a mistake in not monitoring me on Friday or not giving me the ganirelix sooner to prevent ovulation (I didn't start taking until follie was 16). This would be my first IUI and I'm upset that it might be just wasted effort.

My RE wants to do the IUI within 6 hours of the time you ovulate, before or after, preferable getting the sperm in before you ovulate. The egg does not live over 24 hours, so yes, I would say that if you ovulated yesterday morning before 7 am that an IUI today would be too late.
