I'm on progesterone, but wasn't till my 3rd IUI. Are they checking the thickness of your lining when you go for u/s? My RE likes the lining to be at least a 7, if you are historically having difficulty to get there (probably b/c of clomid) he recommends progesterone supplements. I was 8.5 this month, but he still put me on the supplements. The nurse said it helps to make things "extra sticky like velcro." I'll take it!

No progesterone for me either.
Heather- for your !!!Athena- I know what you mean about looking for good signs. I had mentioned that DH and I were joking about patriotic names if we got a on the 4th of July. Well we had said Liberty for a girl and Justice for a boy. Liberty is a cute name but I had never actually heard of anyone named Justice. Until yesterday...at work a young boy came in named Justice. I took it as a sign that we might get good news on the 4th. Anyway I am so happy I joined this group. It would be so hard to go through these 2 weeks with nobody to talk to about it (who understands anyway).

Thanks for everyone's reply about the progesterone... good to know. And I don't remember her measuring my lining at all. I'm also not going in for the 7dpiui, they never mentioned that either. If things don't work this time around, I'll definitely mention it at my next appt.
Heatherly... GOOD LUCK!! Let us know what you find out!!! ![]()

I am not on progesterone either, nor my RE does I am progesterone test. They don't really monitor me.
The only standard u/s they do is on CD3 or CD4 before they prescribe Femara. Other than that, no u/s, no b/w.

I am OK if this is the truth but I have never got a bfp early. I will keep testing and DH said he wants to jump right into IUI #2 if necessary. I went to bed with nausea and woke up with nausea, my bbs still are achy and the dreams are off the chart.

Heather -
that it is too early to show up with a :BFP:How many dpIUI is everyone going to wait to test? I don't think that I can hold out until 14 dpIUI which is when I go in for b/w. Also I don't think I want to be at work to get the news.

Wow, my RE must be really aggressive with the monitoring. I have the CD3 u/s and b/w; then the Clomid days. I usually go back on CD12; CD15 and CD17 ALL for u/s and b/w. Then my IUIs are usually CD18 and CD19. I wonder if they do that to get the $$ from my insurance company. The copays are starting to add up for me though - $20 a pop for all that monitoring. I know it is small change compared to those paying out of pocket, but combined with the upcoming cost of injectibles ($900) - we are going to FEEL the pain of this soon. Maybe I can request less frequent monitoring... |

Okay Ladies, I'm back. I took the last cycle off to reclaim my sanity. Yesterday I had my 4th unmedicated IUI using donor sperm. The count was 30mil pre-wash and 14.5mil post-wash with 49% motility.
I added a new supplement to my vitamin/mineral regimen called Greens+. I didn't know until it was purchased that it contained 150mg of royal jelly per serving. I've been taking it everyday for the past 2.5 weeks. I hope it helps!! Anyone else taking royal jelly...& how much??? I feel one step closer to my ultimate goal. Best of luck everyone...

Tippy — I'm on progesterone (200 mg a day), and most of the time I wish I didn't have to take it. It mimics
symptoms like you wouldn't believe: increased sense of smell, sore bbs, fatigue, mood swings. You name it, I feel it. What makes it worse is that I never know if it's a real symptom, or just the progesterone messing with me. Needless to say, the 2ww is awful. this is the last time I have to ride this emotional rollercoaster!

BabyShim - Good to see you again! I'm taking Royal Jelly capsules...I'm not sure how much though. I only take them up to my IUI though since I believe they are supposed to help with egg quality.
Heatherly - I'm praying it's just too early for a BFP...I know some haven't gotten BFP's until 15dpIUI. Tippy - As for monitoring, I had to be pretty firm with my RE's office this time that I wanted even a CD14 u/s. They just keep saying that there shouldn't be any problems now that we're using donor sperm...although I don't necessarily feel they have fully exhausted tests on me. I feel like if I didn't come on these forums I wouldn't even know they could check these things like u/s and b/w during my cycle. I always thought they'd just do these tests, but I've realized with some doctors you have to ask them to do things. I appreciate them considering that it costs me money, although I have insurance, but I also think it's a waste to do this every month if there's something not right with me, you know. Hopefully this cycle works out for you though! Nicky - The first three IUI's I always tested early...usually 12dpIUI, although on IUI#3 I broke down and tested on 10dpIUI because I had ALL the symptoms. Last month I didn't test at all and just waited for AF to show...which she did right on schedule. I found I am so sick of seeing negative HPT's that I refuse to take one until I am at least two days late. I don't get b/w done and just rely on HPT until I get a positive. If I were getting b/w done, I would take an HPT the morning of the b/w just so I wasn't waiting for a phone call and not being prepared for the news if it were bad. AFM, I am 1dpIUI...I hope this time starts speeding up!! ![]()

Quick question - I'm 6dpiui, and today I started feeling a little crampy like when AF comes and it's obviously way to soon for me to start (I'm only on cd19) could this possibly be implantation? or can you not feel implantation? Just curious. It could be a figment of my imagination like many symptoms are sometimes, haha... just curious if anyone else is feeling something like this around this time?

Babyshim, I have a question for you about why no medicated cycle. I am curious as to why your RE would have you go through 4 cycles and not prescribe anything? And out of curiousity, what is royal jelly and what is its significance? My SO and I are also using donor sperm, but at the price we pay for it, I wouldn't want to do a cycle without some help, although we're not pregnant yet, so maybe it's all for nothing. Good luck and I will send some
everyones way. Let's see those ![]()
