Red face Hey again!

Sounds like everyone is getting excited to be halfway through our 2ww! I'm still that everyone will get their !
Mrshonly1 to our group! This group is really encouraging! I'll be for you!

My re called me today and told me that my mobility of my specimen was lower then they liked. I was kind of frustrated after hearing that. I guess my 15% chance just dropped. I'm just going to keep praying. I dont know if I can afford to do this next month so remember me in your prayers!

Only 8 days till I poas! I think I'm going to wait an extra day though. I'm off Friday so I think I'll do it then.

Hugs to all!!

I am contemplating NOT poas in the morning but we shall see is *I* can show some self-control?

I'm going to wait until July 4th to poas. If positive I'll probably wait until the 5th for bw anyway because I work at a clinic and have to work that day. I was thinking that either way it's going to be a crazy day to test. Almost thinking of just waiting until the 5th because we have to go to DH's parents for a big family thing. If negative I'm going to be bummed all day and if positive I'm going to be nervous to tell anyone without having a blood test to confirm. Maybe I should just do it on the 3rd..oh well we'll see.

I must confess, I'm a little scared. Every moment leading up to my test results is a moment of hope knowing I could be... might be...

But once I test, once I know that it's once again then everything falls apart and I'm devastated again. That short drop off the edge of the world into despair is absolutely terrible. It consumes weeks of my life, lost to the agony of infertility for another month until my next chance comes along.

But this time, there is no next chance. This is our last affordable try and we won't be able to move forward until our circumstances change. We're working on that, but it could take a long time.

I'm trying to weave within myself a shield against the avalanche that is waiting for me on the other side of a pee stick or blood test... I'm trying not to hope too much. But it's so hard.

Please keep praying for me girls. I'm so thankful for your support.

- Angel

Good Morning, Ladies,

I thought I'd check in before i started working (I'm here, but as you know there's really one only thing on my mind!).

Angsea, I understand what you mean. It is really disappointing when the BFN shows up. You feel empty, hollow. But, one thing my husband and I talk about all the time, when we DO get to hold our little one in our arms, it will be even SWEETER b/c we had to fight for it. I see so many women who can have children who get caught up in the dog days of life and forget to appreciate their little miracles. With this experience, I don't think anyone of us will forget to be grateful. This road we traveled was too rough to forget. BUT, Thank God, we'll get there and thank God for being with us every step of the way.

Did any of you see the documentary produced by Ricki Lake on HBO? It's called "The Business of Being Born?" It was really interesting. I don't know about you all, but after going through all of this drama to get pregnant, I want the best experience I can get when the baby is born. It was really an eye opening film. Not sure what your opinions are related to C-Section, Epidural or not, midwife or OB/GYN, etc. but they evaulated all of that.

Happy Thursday to you ladies. I'm going to get to work. Have a great day. I'll be for everyone. I know it's tough. It's going to be tougher next week when we get closer...I swear the week seems to drag.

If I hear one more story of women who got pregnant after they stopped trying I'm going to scream! LOL I told my grandmother just yesterday, "Nana, if my body was normal, then I would probably agree with you, but I cannot mature follicles on my own and I cannot ovulate on my own. So though relaxing is a benefit, it won't help mature my follicles. I have to have assistance." Then the light bulb came on and it was, oh that's right. Really? I love my family, but not one of them understands except my aunt, who poor thing had to have a hysterectomy before she could have a child. She was 37 at the time. She had really bad fibroids. I feel like when I have this baby, it will be for her too. She would have made an excellent mother.

Okay, I'm sorry. I'm getting long winded here. Talk to you all later!

We watched the Ricki Lake documentary also. I thought is was absolutely fascinating and I still don't know how I would feel about a midwife. The way I look at it is that we have had to spend so much time and money to get pregnant that I don't know if I would want to risk any complications, although, watching the women give birth to their child and pull them instinctively to their breasts had tears in my eyes.

I agree, it feels like it might be a step backwards to use a midwife, but these women are highly trained (if you get a good one). I have a friend who used one, but gave birth in a hospital b/c her baby had heart trouble in the womb. She had a complication, but was able to use a midwife/doula to coach her through the labor without drugs and it all worked out. She pg with twins now and she's going to use the doula again.

I agree with you. Watching the women give birth was really beautiful. What's sad is that I don't think many women view it as beautiful anymore. I think it's sad b/c being a mother I think is the ultimate challenge and acheivment. It should be looked at as a badge of honor.

My husband wants us in a hospital. I would prefer a midwife, so I told him we could compromise and use a birthing center. I think he'll feel better once we're pregnant and things go well and he has a chance to check this stuff out in real time vs. theory.

You are right though, we've put so much into getting pregnant, taking every precaution is smart. Just thought I'd bring this up to give us a little distraction while we wait!

take care ladies!

mrshonly - We DEFINITELY need distractions right now! At least I do! I do not know what to do with myself right now. I am going crazy! I am determined NOT to do a hpt before my blood test that is scheduled for next thurs. I am not sure if I can hold out though! I feel like this HAS to be our time! I keep thinking I have little signs of pregnancy, but I know that it is just me reading into things. I have family that live out of the country that came into town yesterday and we only get to see them once a year so I think that is going to help pass the time. Except, last night we all had dinner and I passed on the alcohol. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy (I normally never pass up a glass of wine!) My mom continued to say that she thinks people today are ridiculous, and that back when she was pregnant people smoked and drank and everything else and the kids turned out fine. She basically thought I was being stupid because I don't even know if I am pregnant yet. All I could say at that point was that when you have to try as hard as I am trying to become pregnant, you don't want to do anything to risk it. People don't get it and it drives me crazy

Angsea, I am for you! (and everyone else!)

Lots of to all!!!!!!!!!!!!

tiredofwaiting18- wow! That's real supportive of her. I don't think people realize how insensitive they are being when they make off-handed comments like that. They think they are helping, but they really aren't. I think if you felt comfortable passing on the wine, then you should. I've cut out caffeine (except for chocolate...not sure if I could get through these raging hormones without it LOL) because studies have shown it may diminish one's fertility. I'm alreayd diminished....why add to it!? When I got pregnant before and was in danger of losing the baby, my doctor put me on all sorts of restrictions. Even though I lost them anyway, but there are factors that we know about now that contribute to problem. Yes, alcohol may not be too detrimental later in pregnancy, but early on, yes it is. If their babies were fine even though they were drinking and smoking during pregnancy it was only through God's mercy that it happened. It still doesn't make it responsible. I think you did the responsible thing.

When people make comments like that, I either try to ignore them or educate them. I have a cousin who made an off handed comment while we were with friends that she's glad she finished having her kids before she hit 30. I just smiled and ignored her. I'm glad she's grateful, but the comment felt like a slap in my face. Right now she and her husband are about to file for divorce. I'm not going to say to her, 'I'm glad I'm not divorced." There's no need for comments like that, but unfortunately, people can't see past their nose sometimes. The reality of it is, we're all going through something and we need to be sensitive to other people's problems.

anyway, that's part of the stress of this process, huh? On top of the doctor visits, testing, poking, proding, and invading, we have to deal with folks who make uneducated comments. boo

mrshonly - No please! I like your comments, make them as long as you want! It's nice to have something to read while I'm at work, haha.

tiredofwaiting - Yeah I know the feeling too. It boggles my mind that people sometimes don't realize how insensitive they are being. It's like "hello! did you just hear yourself" It's crazy. I've definitely learned through this experience to watch what I say to others, especially the dreaded question, "So are you guys going to have kids anytime soon??" If I had a dollar for everytime I heard that!

Well I'm 8dpiui, and trying to stay positive! We're getting there ladies!! Then, with the chances of get PG, we'll have a few girls on this thread get their this month!! I mean, statistics say it has to be right?!?!?!?

in the midst of the 2WW....

Hi Everyone:
I have never wrote on a forum, but this 2WW is so long, a buddy to talk to about it would be great

I have a beautiful 4 yr old daughter, and we have been trying to conceive for 3 years (one MC 1.5 yrs ag0). Our infertility has been totally unexplained...husband's sperm count and motility is great, I have a Lap and HSG to make sure everything is working OK, and ultrasounds show I ovulate.
So....we decided to finally give IUI a try even though insurance does not cover it.
We had the IUI done June 17 and at the time of the IUI we had 8, yes 8!, mature follicles. Husbands sperm motility was good and IUI went great. We had a trigger shot 36 hrs before the IUI.
Went in for ultrasound and blood test 6 days after, and progesterone levels were 176, and ultrasound showed 3 Corpeus luteum and the nurse said everything was great.
So now I wait.....I want to test like right now, but if I get a positive...I will wonder if it is still the hormones...negative...I will wonder if I tested too early. They said I could test on the 29th, so prayers are appreciated
Thanks for reading/listening,
Ali

Gals, have you heard of triphasic chart? From what I read, it's not a good measurement as far as pg goes. But still, during 2ww, I'm obsessed with everything possible.
