Hey ladies!! I am sorry I have been gone, but to all of you!! I am trying not to overdo the forums this cycle in order to keep my mind off of things. I took my last femara today, but I start my injectables tomorrow. I have my first u/s on Sunday. More of trying to switch shifts and work for others to make time for IF. Well it looks like I'll be joining you on yet another quest for the baby of our dreams. I got my this morning in full force. I'm not sure what the schedule is exactly yet but I'm thinking that I'll be due for the IUI around 6/22. So it looks like I will be one of the last ladies on here to have it.

This will be my last IUI. I will be starting consultations for IVF next week just in case this next IUI doesn't work, then I can begin IVF immediately.

Hi everyone!

I am getting excited for our first round of iui!

My insurance offers each of us a lifetime max of $2,000 towards infertility but it only pays for diagnostic testing no treatments so it's kind of a joke. I called there the other day to see if I could find out what exactly is covered and of course they said they would look into it and never called me back. I did have $500 in flex benefits which I can use as long as we have a diagnosis of infertility. We have to pay $400 the day of the iui so that will use up most of my flex benefits plus we just got an $80 bill from DH's male infertility specialist. I already owe my previous clinic $2,500. It's scary thinking about how much more expensive this might get and we're only at the beginning.

If it doesn't work this month I think we will wait until August for the second iui so we can save up some money and pay off some of these bills!

BUT...hopefully there won't be a second time!!!

Also of course my iui will likely fall on the weekend I am scheduled to work. My co-worker has already agreed to come in to cover me until I can get to work. So much planning!!

That's ok because in the end it will all be worth it!

First IUI, with 100mg of clomid
06/05 - cd 1

06/05 - went in for initial u/s found a cyst on my ovary, but doctor said we could still proceed with the IUI, we will just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't get bigger

06/13 - i will go in for my u/s to check the follicles this day

somewhere between 06/16-18 i'll probably start the IUI!!

Hi Ladies,
I'm joining you this time . Just got the call from my RE to move forward with my last and final IUI. AF arrived 6/10, had BW/US this morning and I am all clear to start injections tonight. They did bump me up to a whopping 300 each injection of Follistim. Yikes!

Hello everyone! Glad to see we have such a great group this round. I, like All Deliveries, haven't posted in a while for a couple of reasons.... one, I travel A LOT for work so I'm not around too much.... but I also have been trying not to think about things too much. As much as I love these boards, it does make my brain do a bit too much so I try to not be consumed!!

So I went to the Dr. today for a follie check. Usually I go on CD 11 but today was only CD 10. However, I'm looking good so far!! I had two follicles that looked like they will be good to go this weekend - one at 13.5 and one at 15mm! I go back on Sunday and fingers crossed I will trigger that night and have the IUI on Tuesday am. Everyone say a little prayer for me, because Tuesday needs to be the day. I leave for Atlanta on Wednesday for work and that would just put a complete wrench into everything!!

Just checking in, not much going on today. gonal-f shots are going ok, not quite as easy as the follistim pen, but not too bad. I get my first u/s and bloodwork in the morning.

Well, the apt. this morning wasn't as good as I had hoped. The RE said there was little activity and we may need to up my dosage, but needed bloodwork to confirm. Well it's 12:30pm on a Sunday and they just called me back to tell me to go up to 225 tonight. This is so frustrating. They said my estrogen was 45 (at least I think that's the number) anyway, it's low. I am wondering if going up will make a fast impact. Have any of you had this same thing happen? Should I expect to see better results when I go back on Wednesday? I am worried now that switching from follistim to gonal f was a mistake. Anyway, after the fiasco with freedom pharmacy my RE's office is giving me a vial of follistim for free, so I think God smiled upon us for that one.

Hi All-

I've been following this group for a bit thinking it would probably be this week that I will be having my first IUI, and from the looks of it today, it will be! I'm thinking it could be anywhere from Tuesday-Thursday, but am awaiting a call from the Dr's office with my blood test results from this morning. I wish everyone lots of luck this week!!! to all!!!

Hi Ladies, I am joining you all here as I had my first IUI this morning and go in for 2nd round tomorrow. Dr gave me an A+ for follicles and DH an A+ for 45 million swimmers. It was really easy process - easier(more comfortable) than a Pap.

I was on Clomid from Day 3 for 5days and also did 8 days of Bravelle. I had 7 follies on Fri and about 3-4 matured today. Dr said I responded "perfectly". Fingers crossed!!!

I forgot to ask a question: Have any of you reacted to the HCg shot at the place of injection?

I have a hive and the area is very itchy, overly sensitive to touch. The Dr said it happens but not to worry.

AFM - I went back to the Dr.'s today to check my follicles - it was day 12 so still early on in the cycle. As of this morning, I still have two dominant follies, 1 @ 16 and @16.5. The Dr. said everything is going as it should, and my uterine lining was very strong. Unfortunatley, it's still too early to trigger. However, my dr said to come back in tomorrow, and hopefully they will grow a bit more, so possibly the one at 16.5 could get to 18. The dr. sounded promising that I still might be able to squeeze everything in - trigger tomorrow night, and have the IUI on Tuesday morning. Then DH and I can do the BD before I leave for Atlanta on Wednesday.


For the love of god - it isn't stressful enough to go though all of this and then have to throw work travel every week on top of it all. I swear to god, it's like moving mountains!

AFM, I had my first u/s today to measure follies. I have two front runners on the right side that are 15 and 14.5 (if I remember right). They gave me one injection of menopur and I have to take another of Bravelle tomorrow. I go back in for u/s on Tuesday. I guess we will just wait and see. 11 more days till vacation!
