BW is back. The Beta confirms she is !!!! However, they are a little concerned. The IUI was done on 06/17. The Beta today showed a level of 25.2. The nurse said it was nothing to get alarmed about, but we were on the lower end of normal. She has to repeat the Beta on Monday to make sure it is doubling.

Does anyone know if the Beta starts from IUI date or implantation date? The nurse said that he/she may have implanted a little later than what they have as their target, thus resulting in a lower beta score. The told us not to freak out over it because it was still normal, just on the lower end. The repeat Beta will be Monday morning. I'll keep you posted. Please pray that we will have good numbers Monday! The nurse said it needs to be greater than 50.

TSYORK - My understanding is that the the hcg levels increase from the time of implantation, not the time of the IUI. That means that if your little one didn't hook on till a day or two later, the levels might be lower today. It's still in the normal range so try not to worry too much, although I'm sure that's easier said than done.

Kris79 how are you doing hun? When are u suppose to test?
Thanks for being so kind to me an welcoming me on the boards.

TSYORK broke the all line by giving a on it so that is a plus. I believe there is others that will soon post a also.

Me still on the 2ww so it be our month. My poor DH is keeping everything crossed so don't have to spend out another 1500.00 for IUI but if have to will do. I was sitting here thinking when first got married in 92 we didn' really try to get pregnant an I didn't fall pregnant until 97 that to me seems took a very long time when not using anything. What do you all think?

Guess that is why taking so long again hummm.

Tons of Baby to everyone on these boards.

TSYORK, I'm sure everything's fine sweetie. I'll say a special prayer for your growing family. Can't wait to see that beta on Monday! I bet it will be over 100.

And a little update from me. I called to set up my consultation with RE to discuss our options but he wasn't free for about two weeks. I was immediately upset because that means I would be giving up my July cycle entirely.

The nurse said that if I'm bound and determined to not miss a month, I could do a cycle with femara again.

DH and I are so happy that we get another chance with the femara before we have to run into the financial wall. Maybe it could work this time...

Anyway, there is a small problem. My progesterone level was 36 which the nurse said is a bit alarming. They're afraid I have a cyst so I have to come in on CD1 for an ultrasound to make sure I'm ready for another cycle. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I started spotting about 20 minutes ago so today might be CD1.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you girls that are still waiting. In the interim... thank you so much for your support this month girls, it has helped me so much.

- Angel

Well I decided to poas again this am...negative of course. No AF yet. Not supposed to start testing until tomorrow. I just don't feel like this is going to be our month. Were going to have to wait to see if any of DH's numbers can improve I think. The sucky thing about male infertility is that it takes at least 90 days to see if what you tried has made a difference. If not it's another 90 days to see if something else works. Loooong periods where we just can't do anything. Blah!

Count me out. Just got back from vacation last night and was eager to POAS. Only one line... starting to feel like I'll never see two lines. I should have tested on Tuesday so this is for real. Onto expensive, expensive injections!

YAY TSYORK!! I am sure all will be fine and if it isn't we will all be here to remind you not to give up.

Angel - femara is supposed to be better than clomid - hope next cycle is yours.

As for me . . . still waiting. But my boobs stopped being sore this morning. Not a good sign.

JessicaN - Sorry about the BFN...I am praying if this cycle is indeed a BFN that your DH responds to the meds he's taking and will have improved numbers for your next round. I know the waiting stinks but sometimes those months of doing nothing can be refreshing and not as focused on IF. We can't ever stop thinking about it, but when it's not our focus like it is with treatment, the pain isn't so near the surface, I guess. and prayers that a BFP is just around the corner for you.

MyLife - I'm so sorry you got a BFN this round. I know the feeling of thinking I will never see two lines. I figure I probably won't believe it when I do see it!! I am hoping injectibles will make the difference for you!! Good luck next month

Bistro - I'm still hoping you have a BFP...

AFM, boobs really hurt, very tired, hungry at weird times, and waking up because I have to pee (I never do this and have done it three times this week). Of course, I'm starting to have mild AF cramps (11dpIUI). I want this to work so badly and I don't want another failed cycle to ruin my vacation (will be on vacation when AF is due). I hate the 2ww...especially when it's down to the 2-3 day wait!!!

I hope you all have a great holiday weekend...I may not post until I'm back from vacation. DH won't let me POAS on vacation so I won't be testing until Wednesday morning if AF stays away. Good luck to the rest of you!!!

Today is 12dpiui for me. I plan on testing Sunday if AF doesn't show.

Starting yesterday, I've had a strong cramping in my lower right abdomen (I still have it - and it was so bad yesterday I had to stop half way through my daily work out because I couldn't handle the pain.) I've been so bloated for the past 2 days I can't even button my pants, and I've had to run to the bathroom to tinkle about every 30 minutes. (how frustrating lol!)

DH says maybe I have a UTI, but there's no burning when I pee and when I go, it's full flow every time (TMI I know!) I bought a new basal body thermometer (because my normal one is about to die) and my temp is up higher than usual, but I don't have a fever. Usually before AF comes, the outside of my breasts (sides) are sore for a cpl days, but this time, it's my nipples. Keeping my fingers crossed. The high temp, the sore bb's, & the constant urination are good signs - but only time will tell!

Kris, TKhan - good luck!!! And also to whoever else is out there who is still unsure and hoping for the . I'll be honest, I didn't read all 300+ posts in this thread!!!

This 2WW has been really stressful for me. I guess b/c it's the first IUI and also work has been really rough. I was feeling phantom symptoms for a while, but being on progesterone and having had these symptoms in previous cycle (though to a lesser degree), I wasn't getting my hopes up. Last night, I POAS (OPK though) twice and got . Boobs stopped hurting. This morning I woke up and the boobs hurt a little again but my temp dipped. I think I'm out.

Had a mini-breakdown yesterday because I decided that I'm not strong enough to keep doing this, but I do feel a little better this morning. THIS IS HARD!!!

Still a BFN...no AF yet. I'm pretty sure I'm out though. This is so frustrating. I don't know what we are going to do. I'm afraid of doing several iui's and then being told we need to go to IVF after we have spent all of our money. After DH has his next SA I am going to talk to my doctor before we set anything else up to see what he thinks. We had originally said we would never do IVF but at the thought of spending $800 a month for several months of iui's it might be worth it to just give it one try. If it doesn't work then we will have to give up. I don't know. It's hard because we have been going through this for 5 years and we are just now finally starting real treatments. We just don't have the energy to be positive anymore. This might just have been too long for us. We met with an adoption agency in April, maybe we will just give this infertility thing a break for a while and try that route. This is what is so frusterating because I don't know where to go and what would be the best option. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. Just having a bad day...

Jessica, I know exactly how you feel. We've not been TTC as long as you, but I am so nervous about what will happen if we do have to do IVF - we cannot afford it. I am sure my parents would help, but I would hate to have to ask. DH just wants to keep going with IUIs continuously b/c he sees the stats and he knows if it is going to happen, it is going to take 3-4 tries and not just one. I do want to continue, but I actually want to take a month or two OFF. It is a stressful and busy season for me at work and I CANNOT just turn that off. I cannot possibly rest and be stress free during this season, no matter what DH says and he doesn't seem to get that! It cannot be good for making an IUI stick!!!

As friends of mine start to turn 35, we have a running joke - we remind each other that it's only 5 more years to 40, 15 to 50, etc. It's funny, but also, whenever I think about it, I can't help but remember that I will be an old mommy. It gets me down.

I have days where I feel so positive and that's great! But it's so hard to shut off some of the negative feelings.

In any event, Jessica, you are not alone and you have to keep reminding yourself that everything you are feeling is normal and that you'll get through this! It keeps me going to know that someday I WILL BE A MOMMY! I just don't know when or how . . . but I will be.

As I keep up with the last few posts even though I am out this month I am right there with you. The cost of IUI and injectables is overwhelming at times, not to mention the stress of the whole process. I feel that God looked down at me this month and said it was ok to take a break and he made that decision for us by giving me a cyst that caused me to have to skip July altogether. Funny thing is, after I left the RE office and went back to work I hemmorhaged and I think the cyst let loose, which is good, but I think it was his way of telling me that all things come to those who wait. I know what you mean about feeling like you can't take it or move on, but after a couple of days you will want it that bad again and you will find the strength to move on and do it again. We have been ttc for over 7 years and we aren't ready to quit. Hang in there because it's true that it usually takes 3-4 tries but it will happen.
