I am back from my Disney vacation, and wow! There has been good news lurking around here. Wish I could have been in that group!

Just after watching the fireworks at Disney on the 4th, I began spotting. AF was here in Full force on Sunday. I am beginning to feel like it will never be my turn.

In light of my sadness over my own BFN-I have to say how elated I am to see the BFPs.

Kris- Seeing you get your BFP just makes me thrilled. It actually makes me want to cry, because just as I want to give up hope- you have shown me that hope needs to remain, and good things can come. Congrats Kris! I am truly happy for you.

Congrats to the other BFPs!!!

I go in for baseline u/s today at 2pm. I am hoping we get to cycle this month, but we'll see.

Am I Paranoid?

I had the HCG trigger shot on June 18th, IUI on Jun 20th.

I got a on July 6 and July 7.
I go for blood work today(July 7), but am worried that the HCG trigger shot may just till be in my system. My insurance will only pay for this one lab to do the blood test, so it may be a couple days to get the result.

I am overweight and concerned that maybe the HCG shot it is staying around longer? Like stuck in the fat?

Or am I just being paraniod since it is 19 days out from shot?

TTC 3 years.
1st IUI clomid/hcg .
2nd IUI "hoping"

TSYORK, I'm so mad at your nurse right now!!!!!!!!! She was wrong for saying that. It's one thing to try and help prepare you for 'just in case' and it's something different to predict the worst outcome and then voice it to you! She's not GOD!! You should mention her insensitivity to your doctor, that's just craziness. This process is hard enough without someone opening their big fat mouths with stupidity!

Again, my heart is heavy for you. The unknown and the waiting is terrible, but there is a God and He is ALWAYS IN CONTROL!! Remember, no matter the outcome, He has your best interest at heart.

I just want to cry for you guys because I know how stressful this is for you and you aren't getting the support you need from our RE's office. I hope and pray they are wrong. God can make a way and their say so is not necessarily the reality!!!

to you and your wife. Be strong. You'll get through this.

Hi DanaCat,

I'm overweight too and my RE never mentioned anything to me about the trigger shot staying in my system for any prolonged period of time. If you are getting the it should be real. Your b/w will confirm it, but be positive!! You probably already know the outcome. How do you feel?

Hey guys. Today I had my first of three beta tests. I don't know anything about them other than what people have written in this thread. (Beta tests are all brand new to me!)

The nurse just called and said she likes to see numbers at least 100. Apparently, mine is at 409. YIKES! Seems so high! I asked her if there were twins with numbers that high and she said "maybe, we'll have to wait to find out."

Jessica - Congrats on your BFP!!!

HeatherH - Congrats to you!!! A line is a line, no matter how faint!!

TSYORK- I am so sorry that nurse was so awful to your wife. I have never heard that they must double every 48 hours, but always every 48-72 hours. I am praying so hard for you both that things turn out okay. Keep us posted.

AllD - I'm sorry that AF showed up. I know what you mean about feeling like your time will never come. I went through that with each cycle and my last cycle I was particularly crushed, even to the point of DH saying he thought we should take the month off. I never thought it would take 5 IUI's for this to work for us...not to mention when we had our lowest sperm count ever. It will happen for you!!

Chi-Mom - Good to see you! I hope too that you'll be joining the BFP list this year too!!

TKahn - Your beta is amazing!!! Wonder if there is more than one in there!!!

DanaCat - The symptoms you describe are just what I'm feeling too and I got my BFP yesterday. I think yours is the real deal!!!

Congratulations!

Hi,

I just wanted to pop in and congratulate all the BFPs. I was in your group this month, just taking a break from posting and the Internet in general.

I recognize a few of you from previous cycles. Kris!!!!! I'm so excited for you. How fantastic. Woooo-hooo. I had decided to call it a day for SEVERAL months.... but you have given me hope. I felt like all I saw on this boards were first and second try positives. I of course wish it would happen on the first try for everyone, but it's nice to see that even after my three failed tries, there is still hope.

Congrats!

Mooody - thanks again for posting those stats. We have a good percentage in this group so far - almost 29% of those who have a result are !!! It gives me hope even after my .

Tsyork - for you and your wife - try try try as hard as you can not to stress tooo much about the numbers. Or better yet, try to actively relax. I know, I know . . . I am the FIRST ONE to hate it when people say "relax" so I don't mean it that way. I mean you should both take some time to meditate, breathe, get a pedicure, do yoga, get a massage, take a bath, read a great book . . . whatever it is that will help you not be wired will be what's best for that little bean.

jessicagtalley - YOU TOO! Keep smiling!!

Danacat - good luck - things look good for you!!!

TKhan - wow - those are great numbers! Can't wait to see how many you are having!!

As for me, still no yet, but she will be here any day now. I am partly hoping IUI #2 is on a weekend (easier with work) and partly hoping a weekday (then I can go for my acupunture!). Either way, I have decided to NOT take a break and just go for it. The goal this time is to deal with all of my external stress better. I also had my DH hide both of the thermometers in the house. I am still taking BBT and it was giving me insomnia. Hopefully I will sleep better this cycle!

Hi again!

If everyone with a is still out there, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind just posting some info. Some of you have it in your siggies, but some don't. I'd love to see it all . . . I'm sure I'm not the only one . . .

1) ages (member and partner/DH)
2) diagnosis
3) how long TTC total?
4) which number IUI was this?

Thanks much if you are still out there!!!
